negitive effect when playing?

Post by sparkicks »

Ok this is just in my experience... but when i play about half of the time im thinking argh i really dont want to do it yet i some how have to do it or something... like fighting your way to valdas was a pain. you kill off a few monsters that are really hard and instead of feeling like oh yea its like wow close shave i nearly died.. and you go forward onto the next area and its like DAM! look at all those red dots with flying red guys that will bomb the hell out of my combat mage with lightning. i can save cus then ill have to fight my way back there, i dont want to go forward to get my ass whooped and only survive by running away after making a few hits and using my health potions constantly, bidding my time for the people to revive so they can ge smashed again and do the same thing over and over till the area is cleaned out. you get my point? the items arent really unique or rare... usually they last for about 1 hour untill you find a crappy looking sword with no special effects that just happens to be better then this great warriors sword that you got off your previous boss...i feel like i want to play it but at the same time hating the fact that i have to go forward....i dont know whats missing.... its like you either just slaughter everything or you get slaughtered.... level after level of countless bosses and monsters just popping up on you... lol i dont even think anyone will bother reading a rant this long... i could go on and on but i dont really have the time.anyone that agrees with me please tell me that im not the only one out here that feels like this

Yep, recognize the feeling. I usaually start a new char when I feel that way or lay of the game completly. It just starts to get boring. The problem with ARPGs where you control more than one char is that a restart will be very similar to the first time.

Just having fun

The first time I played the game it was a pain not to expand my party beyond four, however I came to realize that summon spells work great at distracting the enemy. By the time I got to Valdis he was more of a chore to defeat, I thought the Archmage was more trouble. Anyhow, I still use the summon spells for my party. By the time I got to play Veteran the other NPC's were less than 40th level and can't take them on Veteran Level cause they actually reduce my main char's advancement, now at level 48. Good luck playing don't give up, but if you summon your little friends when you need to you'll stay alive and double your fun.
