Strat Q: How use power points????

Post by Pat_1_1_1 »

I'd really love advice on how to spend power points, did anyone write a FAQ? Obviously I have to choose between spending mucho points on a few things or on many, and I can focus on different kinds of stuff. How do people spend points for:

Like A tank kind of character.

A combat magic type

A nature magic nurturer

A nature magic nasty

I ask about the above because that's what I've got. Thanks!!

We have a skills section that you might find useful.

Web site page on skills: big woop!

Hey,
Your web section on skills just lists those skills! I'm like asking for advice based on experience about how to choose them and which ones to build up. I think our ingame info on skills has almost as much to say as your web page!

So actually does it make sense to build up a few skills or should I try to get a lot and so on??

Thanks in advance...

A little in a lot of skills, and let the rest come from + items.

Skill points

There's no "right" answer. For tanks you may want one that concentrates on dual-wield skills and another on resistance and shields (using "provoke" to draw the bad guys away from weaker characters...). For Nature mage optimise healing skills quickly until everyone is a bit more "resistant" (armour points), then make the best of freezing skills which will slow down the opposition. For Combat mage I'd recommend a wider range because some of the critters you will face will be either "resistant to" or even "healed by" some of your powers. For Ranger, harvesting potions helps in the early part of the game, but later killing skill takes more importance.

good hunting!

Well if you're going to be a tank, don't put the skills in dual-wield. Dual-weilding is for creating a warrior with a lot of attack power. If you want a real tank, you have to choose the skill with a weapon and a shield and follow that path down.

When you are distributing points, I would recommend checking the skills needed to enhance your powers. If you put your cursor over the power, the skills underneath will light up for which skills you need to increase to get that power. Each power has 3 levels but you can't get to level 3 unless you've hit past Level 36. Powers will help you defeat enemies much faster.
