Muling in SP

Post by Shagsbeard »

I'm a pack rat. I've simply got to collect one of each set/unique item. That's a hard goal to achieve, but I'm a very patient man.

Is there a way to store items off a character I'm playing... perhaps on a character devoted only to storage (called a mule in other contexts, but might be confused with the pet in this game)?

I suppose if there was a way to MP with myself, I could transfer items to a character that way. Is this possible without two computers and two copies of the game?

Probably the easiest thing to do is buy pets, and then use the pets for storage. Packmules are perfect for this.

That would be a great place to leave stuff... but the problem is getting it there. I'm playing this party and they find some stuff I want to store.... is there a way to transfer it to a different party in SP? Most definately I'd take a party with mules for storage. But how do I get the items to it?

You can't transfer equipment to another game, but you can swap companions and pets into and out of the inn at no cost. So you really have unlimited space for storage.

There you go... I learned something. So if I swap out a NPC or a pet, they retain their equipment list? If that's the case, can I have any number of mule pets in storage to swap between?

That's right.

Pack mules are also the best for this simply because by the time they reach adult maturity, you can have 3 pages of inventory instead of just the regular 1 for the rest of the pets and NPCs.
