Strat Q: How Spend Gold?

Post by Pat_1_1_1 »

Hi, I'm playing my first ds2 game (merchant lvl). My party's about lvl 13, reached upper Kithara. We have almost 20,000 gold, but don't know what to buy. I bought slots, have party of four (lothar, taar deru). Suggestions?

There are some fixed items that shops sell, and you might find some of them useful to your party. But eventually you probably won't need anything sold by shops, and you'll end up with all sorts of extra gold.

Sir Edmund: "Should you obey the lord who asks you to put a village of innocents to the torch? Is that chivalrous? Is it noble?"
Me: "It's a great way to get promoted, I know that much."

Tnx, good advice I hope!

Thanks SWCarter. Originally I just saved up to buy slots but merchant level means you can't buy slot five for 10k.

I did try buying two weapons a little better than I allready had, and one different spell.

Shops ocasionally sell some pretty nice items (my lvl 89 fighter's armor was bought in a shop like 20 levels ago  ) but the cost a lot. Better save up.

It's not a bad idea to save up you know. Eventually what happens is that you find better items in the stores than what they drop during battle, in crates etc. Most of my armor is bought by now in shops, and it is better than anything I've found, but it costs through the roof.
And He whispered to me in the darkness as we lay together, Tell Me where to touch you so that I can drive you insane; tell Me where to touch you to give you ultimate pleasure, tell Me where to touch you so that we will truly own each other. And I kissed Him softly and whispered back, Touch my mind.

You'll find that in Mercenary and Veteran modes, you'll buy a lot of your equipment in town. But by Elite, all your weapons and armor will be found during battle.

As for what to spend it on, well you've hit your max party size limit at 4 for Mercenary mode. So I'd check the prices in Town for the highest weapons and armor and buy that.
