What is the fastest way to increase the level of my nature magic? Should I
1) Cast a spell that does a lot of damage
2) Cast a spell that uses a lot of mana
3) Cast a spell as many times as possible
4) Cast a high level spell
Increasing nature magic
I don't think it matters. I think that as long as you have a nature magic spell active, the exp from your kills is applied to your nature magic skill.

I'm certainly no expert, but I think the answer is "doesn't matter... it's all about killing stuff". If you kill stuff using NM, you get NM experience. Kill things quickly and you're optimizing your time. What you want to avoid is having the monster damaged by other forms of damage.
Again... this is based on a premise that I hope is behind the workings of the game and is supported by my limitted experience. I hope someone with more experience can contribute to this question too.

I'm positive it will be faster if you use constant natural magic spells like
(i don't know the correct names in english as i have a different version)
waterfall healer, earth barrier, etc..
I can say that as Taar has only that kind of spells and she became quite skilled (almost the same of the main character) in a smaller time (I often send all but the main character at the inn to increase easier his level).

UPDATE: I've done some testing and here are my results.
The speed a magical magical abilities rise is directly proportional to the difference between your opponent's level and the skill your trying to raise.
So, if you are level 1 in Nature Magic and use spell against a level 40 opponent your Nature Magic will rise much faster than if you were fighting a level 1 opponent or had reached level 40 in Nature Magic.
