Finala elevator activation *spoiler*

Does anyone know what Finala needs to do to activate an elevator. I was in the Kaderak mines and was prompted to use Finala to activate a lever for an elevator, when I commanded Finala to open the leaver it didn't get activated. Please help :confused:

Do you have the Morden wrench and elevator gear or it doesn't want to trigger it even though you do?
