Finala's contempt not working

Act II secondary quest Finala's contempt:

I went back to the elevator to Morden undergroun hq with Finala, but I was fighting while she was talking about fixing the elevator and didn't see all the dialogue. Now when I go back the elevator won't work. She can pull the lever, but nothing happens.

Finala's Comtempt

You should start from the lift at the end of the Upper Kithraya Caverns in Act I. If you start anywhere else it just won't work.
