Amren's Vision Quest Bug

Post by Bundy »

*Possible minor spoilers*

-~-

Hello to you all. I have discovered all four mushroom circles, had Amren babble on about the statues and his thoughts, picked up the four books from the Lore of Aranna set and therefore activated the portals in the center of the rooms. However, when I enter through the portal into the room with the big chest, I can't open it! This is indeed very annoying, as I'm expecting many free items of worth to come flying out of it. I've tried using Amren, my main character, my main character without Amren in the party, all to open the chest with no luck.

Have I missed something? Or is this a bug, which I believe it is?

Thanks in advance.

What does your quest log say?

SWC
Sir Edmund: "Should you obey the lord who asks you to put a village of innocents to the torch? Is that chivalrous? Is it noble?"
Me: "It's a great way to get promoted, I know that much."

My quest log says "5. Investigate the portal in Amren's vision" (unticked). Is Amren supposed to say something when I enter this portal, or is this just a room with a chest full of items and nothing more?

Also, do I miss out on something extra for not completing every single quest in the game? If so, darn.

Amren should be able to open the chest, so I guess you've encountered a bug. There isn't any prize to completing all of the quests.
