I know there's music in I and II, but let's face it, it kinda sucks. Even the suspencefull music isn't as thrilling as any of the music in the movies. That's why I turn down the music in the game and pop in a CD from the originals. haha
The music in KOTOR 1 was composed by critically acclaimed composer, Jeremy Soule and it sounded very good to me. Also drawn me in as well. As for KOTOR 2, I have no idea who the composer is but even though the songs he composed suits the environment. it doesn't sound as good as KOTOR 1. But yeah, had they add more of the original Star Wars music, it will give an authentic Star Wars feel when playing the game but I wouldn't mind additional songs aside from John William's composition.

i agree. i for one want to know if revan has been putting up defencses against the "true sith" or if hes been having a mid life crisis and had to get away from his ball and chain. so yes. call me nosy but i really would like to know what revan and the exile have been up too.
Same here. The story left with the Exile flying to who knows where to meet up with Revan and it would be a shame if the next KOTOR veers away from the events after KOTOR 2 and instead starts with some different story altogether.

Alot of what I think needs to be done has already been mentioned, but it seems to me like more time and effort should be spent on the game. The storyline and the plot should be really in-depth, with with more than just light and dark side storylines. Also, planets should be bigger. With more space, there would be more opportunities for side quests and exploring.
-The characters from both KOTOR stories also should have more story details to their personal lives.
-More story depth on Bastila, Carth, and their companions.
-Also explaining the story, explaining what happened to Revan and why he chose to leave his companions behind. How Revans companions are dealing with the pain. Explain what happened to the Jedi academy on both sides of the force. (LS/DS)
-Have a decent full-filling ending either a happy ending for th crews/Jedi/Revan or if you so choose have a dark ending where everyone dies and the galaxy falls to evil.
Although combining the parties of Revan and the Exile does sound like a good idea, they're still going to introduce more new characters. But what i would like is NO BUGS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Crap, man, i had to start over cause of them like fifty times in KOTOR 2!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! And about what happened to the Jedi Acadamy, it was destroyed by Malak. You'd know that if you played KOTOR 1. Unless you're talking about the rebuilt Acadamy they showed near the end of KOTOR 2. As far as music goes there was one track i liked. I think it was the music for the Restoration Zone. And what if they had you choose at the very beginning when you're creating your character to go LS or DS and have like a different adventure for each throughout the game instead of just a different ending.
nah, nah, nah, nah, nah. See that's the part where you jump out and go "AAAAHH!!!!!!!" when people don't know you're there.
Well I sorta agree.....but does the game really need to revolve around those two? Couldn't you just be a Jedi/Sith and do your own thing and still hear about what they are doing? If III's story line is anything like the last two I'm going to be majorly upset....don't get me wrong I would like to know about Revan and the Exile but I really don't want another 20 hour game(I say 20 hour cause that's my average game time) that's all about Revan and Exile.....It would be really cool if you were one of the Jedi that the Disciple trained or a sith on your own mission and you learn bits and bits about Revan and the Exile
well yes we do. a story without revan and/or the exile, wouldnt be kotorIII. it would just be a different RPG with the star wars logo stamped on it. revan and the exile is what makes kotorIII... kotorIII. so i say if youre looking for a game that just mentions revan and the exile, without it being about them, or seeing/meeting them, you better keep looking.
@bastila. sounds like a plan to me. besides, i think thats what the mojority of everybody here wants. good call.
"Ke barjurir gar'ade, jagyc'ade kot'la a dalyc'ade kotla'shya...." "Ke nu jurkad sha Mando'ade, burc'ya!"
no of course not. im saying that you just HAVE to have revan and the exile in the game or it just wouldnt be kotorIII. and if they arnt in the game then it at least has to be about them and/or focusing on/around finding what theyve been up to, ultimatly leading you to them.
"Ke barjurir gar'ade, jagyc'ade kot'la a dalyc'ade kotla'shya...." "Ke nu jurkad sha Mando'ade, burc'ya!"
so? if you say revan is dark side, stick him/her in the suite. if he/shes LS... well rev DID go to the unknown regions to find the true sith. revan isnt immotal... he/she prolly got badly injured. as for the exile... well if DS then didnt he/she stay at the acadamy? and if light side... the exile didnt know exactly where revan would be. the unknown regions is a big hunk of space you know.
"Ke barjurir gar'ade, jagyc'ade kot'la a dalyc'ade kotla'shya...." "Ke nu jurkad sha Mando'ade, burc'ya!"
But the game doesn't know what Revan and the Exile look like. Unless you have Revan in that suit again.
Well, the developers could give them preset faces. As for genders, the game could include an option where if you choose Revan's gender and alignment, the exile will end up with the same gender and alignment as Revan. I know people will say that its restrictive but at least it will cut down the amount of variables the developers have to face.
Yeah, that's a good point. Forget what i said than.
You did bring up a good question back there. After all, a lot of people will be wondering how Revan and the Exile would look like should they be featured in the next KOTOR.
Also another question. What about if the Exile had a real name? He/she can't be called by 'the Exile' for an eternity. The Exile must have a real name at some point before getting exiled. Hope they would explain his/her origins in the next KOTOR.
maybe you give the exile a name at the beggining of the game.
That would be good as it makes no sense being called 'the Exile' in Kotor3 after going through the whole of Kotor2 with a name.
Des's idea about just fixing the appearance makes sense too, as it would solve a lot of problems. Realistically, in my opinion, I think the only option that is really needed (other than a name) for the Exile (and for Revan) is to say which gender they are as it would feel weird to me if they are both a different gender to those that I used in Kotor 1 and 2 lol.
yea that would be strange lol. oh and of course which alignment they are too.
i also like des's idea. they could sorta randomize what they look like. like when you click random on the names except you wouldnt know what they looked like untill you met them.
"Ke barjurir gar'ade, jagyc'ade kot'la a dalyc'ade kotla'shya...." "Ke nu jurkad sha Mando'ade, burc'ya!"
I hope they get som other robes,,,,,, in kotor1 you had the jedi robes and revan/star robe in kotor2 you only had jedi robes nothing difrent but color and stats on, if you understand??
and i hope you can use hood from the robes. and i would gladly like to se revan in person not some holocron, datapad or ghost of him(he's just so cool)
and some other lightsaber look(without downloading some mod), getting sick of the old look
one last thing.. FULL MANDALORIAN ARMOR IN BLUE; YELLOW AND RED
Zabuza Momochi: Your words cut deep....Deeper than any blade.
It would be good if you had a middle allignment prestige classes called, let's say, Gray Jedi( I saw definition of Gray Jedi in the description of Gray Jedi Robe and i figured they are something like Jolee Bindo), and if universal powers FP cost increased further you go on some side, either light or dark, because it takes the greatest efforts to be in the middle and the benefits are none.
"Love" is making a shot to the knees of a target 120 kilometers away using an Aratech sniper rifle with a tri-light scope.
Ooh I like the idea of randomizing the gender/appearances of the exile and Revan. Then you won't know when you're talking to Revan, or the exile, and when you do find out what he/she looks like, you'd have to remember, or have a revelation at that point, or something like that.
As for the exile having a name...idk if you should be able to choose, cuz if you type it yourself, they can't always pronounce every name in the book. And selecting a good name from a list means the actors having to repeat the sentence that has the name in it, and that takes money to pay them, and a crapload of time. They could make it like in Harry Potter, where Voldemort is referred to as "you-know-who." The Exile could be referred to as "the Exile." The only problem I can see there is many were exiled.
I'd like to see Mandalorian armor closer to the Fetts, and lightsabers being adjustable, not only at the beginning, but also at the workbench. I understand that you pick up a ton of lightsabers, so just give them the basic hilt, then you can adjust them later, if you even want to.
As for robes, I'd like to see the hood adjustable; up, down, you know. I'd also like to be able to remove the robe for battle, like H was for equipping the lightsaber, (that's what I did, so when I sparred on Dxun I wouldn't have to re-equip my lightsaber) make...idk, G? for removing the robe? then you could leave it where it is, then come back and pick it up like "Remains." You could also mix and match: dark robe w/ tan garments, like Qui-gon.
And I'd like to actually put my lightsaber away, on my belt, not in a pocket or just in my hand. Not very Jedi-like.
And fix running w/ a lightsaber out. Not in one movie have I seen a Jedi run normal with the lightsaber out except in Ep I (Obi-wan, trying to catch up w/ the final battle). Have it out to the side.
Fix walking, too. That was the fastest walking I've ever seen in my life.
And have some way to just twirl your lightsaber around, cool-like. Or at the very least some other stance. You learn all these lightsaber forms and yet you always look like every other guy wielding a melee weapon. Stand like Obi in Ep I when he's watching Qui-gon's back on the Trade Federation ship, or like Anakin, with it over a shoulder, or something.
Basically: Make it cooler, make it closer to the films, and make it have a lot less glitches.
Hokey religions and ancient weapons are no match for a good blaster at your side, kid.

I don't mind picking the gender and the alignment for both Revan and the Exile but randomising the looks for both of them sounds slightly troublesome to me. I would rather go for preset looks and voices like I mentioned previously.

I would much prefer a set name for the Exile. But I also agree that he should have a name aside from being called 'the Exile' all his life. And since there are many people that have been exiled, as what Zander has mentioned, it would sound weird to call those people by that name.

That would eliminate the short lightsabers and its a good idea. Adjusting the lightsaber is much better than getting diferrent lightsabers like short and regular. About customising the hilt, also a great idea. It will give some uniqueness to the lightsaber hilt.

I totally agree with this one. It looks irksome to see yourself and your party members running around with their weapons drawn. Its as if they're looking for trouble. The developers could follow Fable's example like mapping the 'Q' button to draw out your melee weapon and the 'E' button to draw out your projectile weapon.
I agree totally with this one. The walking speed in the KOTOR series is surprisingly fast even for any ordinary human to comprehend. Either they (the developers) motion capture the walking process or make the walking animation more believable.

I did mention the combat stances a long time ago back at the smaller touches thread and I wholly agree with you about giving each different character individual combat stances. After all, not everyone is going to use the same stance as yours. They must have some stances that they are comfortable with or accustomed to use.
