Dual Wield Spears?
Dual Wield Spears?
Can you?
Whats the point of dual-wielding slow weapons? I wouldnt recommend the use of any weapon under "Fast" speed for dual-wielders.
What difference does the speed make? Why not just take the highest dps?
You might want to dual-wield spears if you're using a warfare / hunter mix.

Best weapon for DW are the "Very Fast" like the Gladius. Leave Axes Maces and Spears to Shield users.
you are wrong.
the fakt is that attackspeed of dualwield has a hardcap of 171%.
1handed is 190%.
when you take a slow weapon and choose the right skills you also dont need to enchant this weapon with a speedenchant. you are as fast as the user of 2 daggers because of the hardcap.
finaly you do more dam =)

Doesnt a faster attack rate give you more chances of your "+xx% to use" skills to proc more often?
I respecced my Conqueror for a heavy Dualwield character taking along all the proc skills in Warfare and only Adrenaline Rush on Defence (plus Colossus). From my experience it really makes the difference.
On the other hand, the road to weapon attack speed cap is long, so at least for the whole "Normal" level I think "Very Fast" weapons are better for Dualwielders.

Ok heres the sish lol
-You cannot dual weild spears, but they are one handed so you can combine them with a spear
-The cap for one weapon is 190% but that is very rarely met until later on so the cap may as not be there in normal/epic.
-Dual weilders cap is 170% so they are slower but there is the 22% chance both weapons are used at once which roughly makes 205% meaning they are faster
-The attack speed shown as a percentage means how many times they attack in a second. ie. 100% means once a second where as 150% ,means 1.5 times a second OR 3 times overy 2 seconds
-Slower weapons generally do more damage; so 1 ideal dual weilding weapon with attack speed of 'fast' will do more damage per hit than a 'very fast' weapon used by a rapid hitting single weilder. Mulitply that by two and they are doing twice the damage. If they have a [dosn't matter] % chance of dealing 3 times more damage on one of the weapons it applies to both so say a it is a 25% chance then it is really a 50% chance that they will hit treble damage a second. That, if their dps is the humble 2000 dps found at legendary levels can be immense...

Attack Speed/ Dps / damage in 4 secs
Dual Wielder 205% 2000 14000
One weapon 190% / 2000 / 8000
Thats a 6000 increase or in realtive to the orignal figure a 75% increase. Now when you actually get deep into legendary and you have a decent but very possible dps of 10 000 a dual weilder can convert that into about 70 000 dps!! [ALLEHLUIAH]
Unfortuantely that far in you need the defense a sheild gives you.

I think you mean you can use a spear with a shield.
Just to clarify, no, you cannot duelwield spears.
If you plan to use hunters just for spears though, you may want to focus your other class as a crowd control or defensive. I haven't testing out hunter though, and it is possible their target dummies and nets are sufficient, but I don't think I'd rely on just that
