Everyone I suggest you all start filling LA's e-mails boxes and tell them how much you really want Kotor III, go for it! E-mail away![/QUOTE]

What should I enter in "Your media outlet" box? They insist on it.

I think this thread deserves sticky status. I'm replacing the original news and rumors sticky with this one. :)

I'm not really sure if it means that exactly, only because in the message above the contact box it says they will only respond to you if you are part of accredited media. I don't really know what that means, but it probably has to do with what you put in that media outlet box. Maybe a company affiliation or something like that.

I really hope you guys do got some email back from them, although it's probably gonna be "We can't disclose that information", but then again, if they say that, then that might mean somethings going on that they cant talk about, which is good i guess.

I put "kotor 3" in there too, so im crossing my fingers for some sort of reply back

sorry, guys

sorry, guys. the news was what i think was a new star wars screenshot. it couldnt be the darth vader game because there where sith troopers in the screen shot. my guess is that it was the first screen shot for a much needed 3rd installment. it cant be from the 1st or 2nd game because i have both games for both pc and xbox and the battle screen was something i couldnt understand. but theres one problem. i went back to get the info on the site and when i found it the shot was gone and about five min. later my comuter should signs of a virus, and before i know it all the pics i had in my file where gone. i finally got back on 4 hours ago and managed to get to this site after my computer shut down on me about 14 times. you can choose to believe me or not, either way i know that screenshot is somewhere and im going to find it even if i get 1000 viruses and the game is already out.

Kotor 3 Coming Soon?

Well Wat im about to write is all information put together from 100's of forums and sites and interviews ive been searching threw for any sign of kotor 3, and yes i have found quite alot. I put all the important parts together. ther were alot of things other ppl found aswell, like the messag from Bioware saying ther will be a kotor 3 also i read another forum with an interview saying that Kotor will be coming :

Late 2006 - (december holidays)
or
Early 2007 ( E3 2007 )

and Bioware has said it has been underway for months and will be out for Next Gen systems.

For me thats enough info to believ that Kotor3 with definetly be out in the next 6-12 months , but no1 is right until you actually see Kotor 3,, Yeh Thx peace :D

Well, to be honest, my hopes are kind of low for KOTOR 3 so I'm not that interested in hearing any latest news about KOTOR 3. I'll only be interested if there's an official announcement from Lucasarts or whoever's developing it.

In a way, yes. The good thing is at least this thread won't get pushed down until no one notices. Furthermore, the thread will stay at that spot even if no one posted there in years. :)

I justify making a sticky of this thread for the following reasons:

1. Quite a few guests browse the GameBanshee forums every day, most interested in gleaning what information they can about their favorite/hoped-for games. Making a sticky of this thread ensures easy access to the rumor mill. In addition, members who are new to this forum can have most of their questions asked by looking here. Making a thread a sticky = no getting lost in the shuffle.

2. The thread will remain open until the day arrives when an official announcement concerning KoTOR III is made. The following does not constitute anything remotely close to an official announcement:
  • Someone's brother's best friend's cousin who is married to the uncle of an employee of Obsidian, Bioware, LucasArts, etc., etc., who says they have a wanted ad up for designers to join a "new exciting development team."
  • Any e-mail anyone receives from LucasArts, Bioware, Obsidian, etc., regardless of what that e-mail says.
  • "Inside" knowledge of any kind.
  • Because "you know."
  • Anything else not covered in this brief list which is NOT a press release from LucasArts, Bioware, Obsidian, etc.
3. Until that day arrives, this thread will remain open. Open thread = no KoTOR III. Closed thread = official announcement has been made.

4. Finally, simply because I can. ;)

Greetings All!

I have found some extremely exciting game footage. Its a Star Wars game footage of some Star Wars game in development. I ain't saying this is KoTOR III, but I've heard stuff that this game could lead to a possible KoTOR III much later on after this game is developed. So any way will this exciting footage eventually lead to KoTOR III? Lets hope so.

Any way this exciting game footage made it onto team Xbox and apparently was leaked onto the internet. click below to have a look.

Why would that lead to Kotor 3? It clearly is during the Galactic Civil War. which is like 4000 years off. it looks like another Jedi Knight game.
nah, nah, nah, nah, nah. See that's the part where you jump out and go "AAAAHH!!!!!!!" when people don't know you're there.

Yea, but that same kind of programing will probubly be used for many other games not just one. Hopefully we can see a demo like that for Kotor III showing some more upgrades ( fingers crossed :) )

But i'll admit those were some of the best graphics i have ever seen. But i unlike other people don't depend on a KOTOR 3. I just want a game with the same setup no matter what era it is

I actually got the impression that they were looking at this forum when making that game: interactive enviroment, force lift-then-smash-against-wall etc. so it gives me some slight hope. But then again, what if they release this game instead of KotOR III? Let's hope for the best.

Thanks, Bas, for the tech demo video. :) I've always wanted to know what this new physics system Lucasarts been touting can do. From the looks, this Digital Molecular Matter (DMM) tech by Pixelux looks like it could even rival that of Havok's physics system used in Half-Life 2. I would clearly like to see this in action in any future Lucasarts game. :D For all I know, that system will be implemented in the next Indiana Jones game and that upcoming Darth Vader title. By the way, if I remember clearly, this tech demo was shown behind closed doors at this year's E3. How on earth did they get hold of this video?

Leet, where did you find out that KOTOR 3 will be released somewhere 2006/2007? If you've found this from other forums or some fansite, I will be hard pressed to believe their statement. I would rather wait for the official statement from either Lucasarts or whoever's developing the next KOTOR.

EDIT: Forgot to add some impressions of the tech demo.

I dunno, but to me that looks a lot like it'll be used in a new jedi knight game.
