The True Sith
I played both KotORs. a lot. this is my theory: shortly after the mandalorian war, Revan found out what drove the mandalorians into war (in KotOR II Carth mentioned something that they had another reason for ataking the Republic). so maybe he knew that a mere jedi won't be able to stop it; he would have to know both sides of the Force (dark & light). that's why he turned (Kreia said that he didn't care much of his title: sith or jedi). anyways, when he defeated his old aprentice he left the republic (didn't even matter if he should save it or destroy it) and went into unexplored space where the true sith are wayting. In KotOR II, the exile returned from... exile and found out what happened since the end of the mandalorian war. he must have some kind of important role in what's about to happen; that's why he returned just now, and that's why he returned to the council after the war and didn't blindly folow Revan down the tainted path. as for the sith (their history hasn't been too clear for me), maybe they were ALMOST extinct and left Korriban (defeated by whoever) and went in the unexplored parts of the galaxy, and now thy are threatening to come back. that's why Revan left; he went to battle them. I think there's a little more to say but that's enougf for now.

u r right: the true sith are BELIVED to be long dead, but as I said maybe they just fled into oblivion because the good guys where giving them a real beating and now no one knows anything of their faith. and its posible that now they seek to get their revenge an they started it with the mandalorian war (or any other before that, but I don't think so).
I don't think that leaving the true sith out of the 3d game is such a good idea. or at least they should be there but u never meet/battle them. let's say that you arive at the scene just after Revan finished with them and now u look for him. why? perhaps to learn something of the true sith. in any case should they actualy be present and should u interact with them, I am almost certain that this is an important thing in the story; a little knoledge about the true sith and the search for Revan (or at least traveling thrugh the same places as him)

I agree with FighterTundra. After all the comments in Kotor2 about how Revan went off to fight this powerful foe, and hints etc that they are in fact the True Sith, I think they have to include them in a third game as I know I for one actually want to know who these people/beings are and what they look like.

maybe u got it wrong. maybe Revan didn't go to fight the sith. there's a lot of things u got to be aware of. from this poin of fiew we just have to wait and see. I think that it will depend on what do u tell the others (u know, like in KotOR II) if u say that Revan saved the Republic, he will probably fight against the sith, and if u say that he turned on the republic (again) he will probably rally them to finish off the republic. just think: if u finished KotOR I on the dark side, why else would he leave the republic? maybe he went to rally the sith, thus they will reclaim their place in the galaxy, better yet rule it?

Revan didn't want to finish The Republic, at least not before memory loss. He became the Sith Lord to save it (at least that's what Kreia told us). When he got his memory back he probably went to finish his task. Even GO-TO said that Revan didn't want to destroy The Republic and brought up several proves of that. How you ended the first game isn't really important for this matter, cause he's the same person he was before the memory loss now.

I didn't say he wanted to destroy the repubilc (yet). I said thet he turned on it. maybe he wanted to destroy it from the begining but he realised that he may need help from the true sith. it IS just a theory. I mean i'm not against Revan but I like to view him from all perspectives.
maybe at the end of the mandalorian war, when he went beyound the outer rim that something (probably the sith) REALY changed him; into better or worse it depends on the player. but the best thing to do is to wait for the game and find out. right now we deal in many "ifs" and "maybes"

Maybe Sith Commando meant the ideals of the True Sith and what they really stood for, I guess. As far as I know, there is not much intel on who or what these True Siths are made up of. I might not have read any Star Wars related books but my opinion is that they (True Siths) could have some home planet somewhere and have an empire of their own compared to the Jedi (wonder why the Republic never bothered to bombard these Siths and rather play defense against their attacks. Their army must be very weak, I guess, until they got hold of the clone troopers 4000 years later. ).

And I thought I was a star wars nerd sheesh:speech: seriously I don't care about their history I just care that they make them not to hard...I think Malak was a true sith!(or at least he should've been)Because then it would make a great storyline for KotOR 3 having a sith like malak there should definately be at least as many sith in KotOR 3 as 1 had!

Meaning that they're easy to be dealt with in the game? Well, I don't mind some tidbits of their history here and there so at least you know who you're up against. Finding out their strategies, fighting methods, weapons and origins might play a significant role in identifying the enemy. As what Sun Tzu has said, "Know thy enemy."

The True Sith are most likely some of the Dark Jedi/Sith hybrids that managed to flee Korriban after the Great Hyperspace War. That in itself would make them more powerful than the "new" Sith in KotOR since with them they brought their secrets and most powerful teachings, whereas the new Sith were forced to find the True Sith's secrets to even try to become their equals, which is why they were so hellbent in KotOR 1 to find artifacts of the ancient Sith.
