Ok first, as for the actual controls of the game. Many of us still have the actual Xbox (and 360) and therefore don't have to worry about the controls of the game. They may need to consider letting people customize which buttons activate which power, move, etc.
KOTOR has already been setup in a system of turn based with controlling your party step by step. Going away from that may be cool but it isn't keeping in KOTOR and if they did it would be some other version of the game.
I think we should get away from the concepts of - hey wouldn't it be cool if they comepletely retooled the game to go in this direction and get back to what they could actually accomplish in KOTOR III to make it a kick ass game more in keeping with the rest of the series.
Sorry if I come off as a little harsh but I just spent the past hour reading each post for the past 3-5 pages of this thread and they are all about button layout and fable/marrowind/oblivion style fighting types and that isn't what KOTOR is. Especially frustrating when I play KOTOR on my Xbox. I do agree they could make handling your party different but expecting them to remove all control over your party except by orders is un-realistic. I wouldn't mind the fable qualities of fighting whomever you want and actually having action be the answer to battles. Meaning you don't stop in the middle of a fight to talk, you just start walking away and that decides it for you.
I also agree with the fighting styles, disagree with losing limbs, tatoos could be cool but not overly nessessary.
I strongly disagree with the entire propsed about the double lightsaber hilts. If I understand it correctly it is proposed that one colour - and effects - be on one end and another be on the other of a double blade? No. Double blades were already supposed to be more slash for the swing and if they increased that effect then maybe.
Also I want the single blade specialization to become better. I hate when I try to keep with one blade the entire game while kicking myself that I didn't go double and get more damage.
Why can't we go to Curracant? If they base the game say 5-10-20 years later they could have some semblence of a rebuilt order on Curracent. I wouldn't even mind if they were New Jedi masters sitting on the council. I would actually be kind of pissed if the Cathar or any of my other teammates from KOTOR II sat on the council. I mean I trained them - yes I know that in the story I obviously won't have but still - and to see them in a place of so much power over me would just get annoying. That is why when we searched for the missing Jedi I was both happy and sad at what we were doing. Happy at the fact they were Masters of KOTOR I but sad that they looked like Jedi! I mean come-on! A Jedi Master walking around in Jedi robes on Nar Shadaa and I - in my Mandalorian Armour - and the one who gets attacked?
Bao-Dur: I think he wanted us to give up the Genreal to his poorly trained collection of bounty hunters.
Atton: Ah. well that would explain it. Which one do you want?
Bao-Dur: I'll take the stupid one who decided to threaten us rather than shoot us when he had the chance.
