Last points for a Conqueror

Post by Fellend »

So far my build works pretty nice. A T-run goes on less than a minute.
On normal btw.

Anyway I've maxed Warfare and Defense mastery.
Maxed Pulverize, Colossus, Shield smash and Armor handling
Got a point in rally and mastered Defiance.

In Warfare i've maxed onslaught. ardor and weapon training

Now what am I gonna spend the rest of the points on? I'm just level 40 (I got some extra skill points due to a bug in a quest)

Battle awareness? No because the game is bugged and you only have the aura sometimes.
Battle standard? No becuase it takes to long to actually get the buff, by the time you've gotten the buff the standard is either destroyed or out of duration
Ancestral Warriors? No because it makes my computer lag =(
Whirlwind? Nah pulverise is better and I don't have the energy for it anyway
Dual wield is obviously pointless

So it's basically down to battle rage or adrenaline. Which is better of the two? and Is shield charge worth it? Any advice is welcome. Especially for those who can tell me how hard legendary is

I was about to get on here and make a similar post asking some peeps to give some ideas of a killer conqueror. I have seen a few conquerors in legendary just straight up own and seen typhon go down in two hits from him. This is just plain sick and I want to know how it is done.
And as to somewhat answer your question... Battle rage is good for me. It activates alot and gives good damage. But I am maxing adrenaline now and I like the idea of more speed and damage. If anyone out there can help this guy or me it would be much appreciated. I am sure he wants to own like that too. lol. Thanks...

This isn't a suggestion but a question: what is wrong with dual wield? i was considering on making a dual wield character.

i'm betting that duel wield is pointless for him because of his defense mastery - heavy usage of sheilds. I have yet to make a defense character yet, but if shield charge works anything like the hunter's take down ability, it is well worth it. If nothing else, it helps you get into the fights faster by charging into the group, and odds are, the first one you hit dies instantly.

he COULD pick duel wield, but any time he was using 2 weapons (not a shield) he would get none of the skills/benefits he gains from so many points spent in the defense tree. likewise, using a shield would get no benefit from all the points spent in duel wield.

I'm building a conqueror as well, and I use shield charge and it's synergies. It's well worth it if ya ask me.
It can get you out of a tight position sometimes, cause ya take a long sprint, and that can take ya to the other side of the screen.
If ya use it's synergies, it'll effect the surrounding monsters as well, whoare next to the one you slam in to.

And monsters are stunned for a second or more, it helps me get by very nicely, so.....max it, I like it better then dual wield.

Im not tq veteran but i always plan char build in any rpg before actually make one. my thoughts about this build:

when i saw this cool intro i decided- i want to have such hero like the one beating gorgon :p its challanging, enjoyable and have this greek spirit.

ok first obvious thing- warfare mastery. after couple of levels i had to make up my mind- dual wield or shield. if shield then only with defence mastery, dual wield with nature or rouge. skills in defence mastery allows to use shield as a second weapon and dual wield is only a percent chance to use off-hand weapon so no difference to me beside shield protections which is a plus. ok so conqueror

my build is on attached jpg.

now my opinion on your build:
fellend- imo defiance is useless. with propre equipement you`ll have more than enough resistance and "thorns" is as always not enough on higher difficulties because of huge differences between player hp/dmg and creeps hp/dmg.

add dodge and ignore pain- both very nice passives

never heard of battle awareness bug, anyway battle awareness alone is useless without pets as we only get higher radius, armor and defence bonus is too low. for lone char its not beneficial enough, 1 point as pre-req for max focus and iron will. iron will resistances are very usefull and focus makes shield serve its purpose. battle rage? imo useless- whole tree percent based to activate but dmg is defined not percent from weapon. shortly- not enough dmg in higher difficulties. battle standard with 78 sec on max will last for whole "party" :) and triumph makes it even better -40% enemy dmg, -40% dmg resistance, wow its great. max doom horn= final bosses hp reduced by 1/4 veeery nice. from defence mastery add disable. quick recovery is alone the very reason to pick this mastery. shield have 3 sec cooldown before it can deflect another blow so -80% recovery time and you have 0.6 sec cooldown + huge 24% chance to block + 5% armor absorption.

in tq armor absorb around 60% of its number ie. 100 armor can absorb 60 dmg so adding more armor absorbsion makes it 65% with quick recovery + armor handling= 81%. in legendary it makes HUGE difference.

shield charge 1 point only for 300% movement. nice to quickly reach those casters and healers behind brutes. damage is low in legendary so not worth maxing. ofc colossus and its up to you max adrenaline rush or rally for life saving skill. i dont like to risk only 5% possibility of healing so healing from rally and adrenaline only as pre-req. resilience= more ad rush= +50% dmg, +20% total speed with max defensive reaction. very usefull

ok thats my point of view :)
