How long into the game before you guys are finding set items. I have moved onto egypt with a lvl 20 char and have not found a single set item. Is this common?
one of my characters is a level 18 conqueror and I found obsidian armor, greaves, and bracers in normal act1 and 2. I also found theban bracers as well as a few other blue items. Sometimes they are in spelchers sometimes you get them from big bosses. Keep searching they are out there.
In both of my games, my characters have found 2-3 set items by the end of Egypt. Mostly I find good stuff in the majestic chests next to bosses. If you really want to improve your equipment, you should fight bosses multiple times.

for me i didnt find a epic item till the very end of egypt, but i have gotten tons, litterally probably in the amount of 100+ rare items... just in drops, so... dunno if that balences out or not but... i'm still pissed off i havent seen a legendary item yet.

you won't find any legendary items till yer in epic mode, I found my 1st legendary item just before delphi I think, sword of damocles.
