Problem with Quest - The Invocation

Hello,

i am at the quest The invocation / Bring the hand and the eye to imhotep in memphis. (Before the gate of thebes) i've got the hand of balance and the eye of chaos delivered it to imhotep and he said lets perform the ceremony. he do something and that little piramid in front of him starts to light up and then it falls and nothing happens anymore. is it a bug or somesort or what do i need to do?

Don't want to start over again because got the obsidian set ...

The ceremony is supposed to fail. Afterwards, you should be able to talk to Imhotep again, and he should open the gate and send you to the Valley of the Kings.

How long do i need to wait then?.. i waited maybe a hour at the gate and nothing happens and there is NO v in my quest log of that quest of the quest bring the hand and ....

You should immediately be able to open the dialogue with Imhotep after the incantation fails and have him open the gate right next to you. Your quest log should update right away after you talk to Imhotep. If you can't get him to open the gate and your log doesn't update, then there is a problem somewhere.

The same problem

I have the exact same problem as StevenBosch, I can't continue with my game now, please someone help! D= I already tried ordering the things in the save map but that doesn't help, I want to continue with my game! D=

Here you find alot of *.que files. Find the newest one and delete it (If it dosen't help try the second latest to)

You have to start the quest again or at least play the last part of it again. Remeber to talk to quest characters if needed. I know it's a bit tricky, but better than to start from scratch with the game...

i believe there is a bug. the one way is to redo the quest

you may consider deleting the 3 non .cue files also. (be sure to save them if this doesn't work so you can replace them) it will erase your quest log completely, and start you in the first town, but you can just take a portal to the town you want and try to restart the quest. That should do it. Work for me on a bugged quest later on in next area. but be sure to save the deleted files, in case it doesn't work, u'll want to put them back.
