did you no see how many ships they had? most of the sith fleet was in orbit, and that was more than enough firepower to blow a hole through a planet. about Empire at war, i know what you mean, but who said that the games really are coherent. malak ordered the whole world to be wiped from the face of the universe, if it was truely followed out is up to the developers.

And just how did Calo Nord survive then? They bombarded planet killing allmost everything on the planet, but not everything and certainly not blowing up the whole planet.

Someone in-game said everything higher then two-floors was destroyed, but that doesn't mean people who live very low or on the surface didn't survive. And I really want to see The Promised Land. :)

How can it be on another planet? Those people who went there had no spaceship, or the means to get it, they walked all the way to The Promised Land.

I thought the promised land was underneath Taris somewhere as, like obrad stated, they walked there.

Planets

Hmm i hope its more of the main republic worlds, but considering how kotor 2 ended the exile went to the outer rim so its probably gonna be like those dead planets :(

i said i was under the impression not that i was for sure. but it *is* the promised land so, who would no for sure unless we go there?

@Leet: yea... man i didnt like any of the dead planets. they were so... boring. damn. but maybe just maybe, if there *is* a III KotOR, you'll start out on corascaunt or something. *crosses fingers*

Taris is still 'there'

Just in case anyone needs reasuring that Taris was not completely wiped off the face of the galexy (Alderaan style), in KotOR 1, after escaping Taris, some info appears in the "completed quests" section under "Taris: Planetary Information" :

Taris:
Tarishas been reduced to a desolate wasteland of rubble and permacrete dust. No doubt a few citizens survived the Sith assault on the planet, though any survivors are likely to seek shelter in the regions beneath the surface, making it virtually impossible to locate them.

-so Taris is still there, and I think it would be cool to be able to visit the ruins, or maybe have a settlement of survivors or something, like on dantooine with the enclave ruins and such.

theres no doubt in any of our minds that taris is still there. we know that. what i think we meant was the cities. the *cities* were destroyed. we were debating about the promise land and if it was destroed and if we should visit it.

what about actually *going* to yavin IV?

Good idea. Always wanted to know what Yavin IV looked like at that time aside from going to the trading station back at KOTOR 1. :)
''They say truth is the first casualty of war. But who defines what's true? Truth is just a matter of perspective. Wasn't Yavin IV a Sith planet before the NJO? That would certainly be interesting to visit, I am getting a little tired of Korriban. :p

Dantooine - Please no, my computer just does not like that planet and I have to keep restarting.

Yavin IV - Definitely! They have some amusing flying creatures too.
Myrkr (sp?) - Cool forests and animals that hate the force so if you use force powers you have another immediate threat.
Dathomir - Sith witches, you gotta love 'em
Onderon - I liked that it was kind of broke up into two, with Dxun. It made the missions seem not so long.
Kessel - Yeah, it's probably not very pretty but then neither was Korriban and that was pretty interesting the first time around.
Dagobah, Hoth, Coruscant, and Corellia would all be interesting too. Of course, if it revolves around fighting the Sith in the unknown regions, which is what I would like, I don't mind having planets that I'm not real familiar with either.
