Does anyone have the complete list of recipes in BW?
I am a bit confused about that, because I finished BW on Mercenary (with Alanna) and I didn't get the complete list. Needless to say, that applies for the Elite also, even if my main character is equipped with spell book and rings which gives her 120% chances to find magical items !

I didn't figure it out how that game consider the percentages because IMHO, when you have 120 % (!) chances to find magical items, it is supposed, when you open a special chest, to obtain something unique or from the set. After passing the third room in Vault of Therayne, I obtained for example only that stupid paper helm (is there a use for that helm?) a pair of Combat Mage gloves for level 1 (!!!!) character and some gold (not so much needed, I have already around 5,000,000 in gold, so my adventurers are a bit rich

).
I also came back (so I saved the game BEFORE opening the chest and reloaded the game), maybe 10 (ten!) times only to obtain only that crappy paper helm, 5 times dwarfen battle hammer, 2 times visionary helms, 2 times some rings (not uniques or from a set!) and an useless amulet for 20-30-40 (I don't know) character. That happened also for the chest in Calennor Stronghold (I came back only 2 times though, a bit hard to get there). Generally, in all the game (I am in the Dwarven Stronghold now) I obtained only Envy (from Bloody Vengeance set), the Ravager helm, gloves and boots from Even battle set and thats all, as set items. As recipes, I obtained only six
of them (those which are visible, in the racks or after killing that blasted Despulan). Nothing from ALL the chests opened, nothing from low-level bosses (Elves Wardens, Taugrims, Tacklaks or Familiars), I don't know what happens.
Where are all those set items and recipes hidden? I know very well that they are given randomly but which kind of random is that?

Some unique/set items you can get from F&K Society member in Dryad outpost in exchange for something like "unique flawless ancient agallan tablet" (I found only two, and he has about 9 items). One can be found in Old Aman'lu in the place where Celeb'hel was in originall story. Second is a reward for completing Aman'lu arena.

As for recipes. During the game, I've noticed that only 4 or 5 are dropped from random monsters (if you like I can make a list for ya). Others are in fixed locations. But I visited whole world. There is literally no place my party haven't been. And still, I have about 50% recipes in my journal. But don't worry. Every item I created from this was a piece of crap for some 40 - 60 lvl loosers.

[edit]: Nah, wait I haven't visited Bucket Cave. They've beaten my team like a bunch of rabbits. Time for payback ;D

I agree that they don't seem to be of much use. The only thing that could be interesting, is the fact that for some ranger boots, and gauntlets I believe, you can use different ones that fit a ranger, so the armor rating will go up. Not that they are of much use but still it could be ok especially for lower rating characters. Other than that I think I'll say don't bother. I'll look around though, see if there's anything up yet.

And yes, I totally agree. It is my one problem with this game, and this included DS2 itself. I just loose interest because the supposed great stuff is so far from it, it is actually frustrating. I know a guy who bothered with making half of this, and even at lvl2 difficulty it just wasn't anything special. Meh. I miss the original DS goodies, they were much better.

Question 1 for Hegi:

I am a bit confused, there is another Mysterious Quest in BW as in original DS2 or you spoke about original Mysterious Quest in DS2 that you tried to complete it with your party from BW?

Question 2 for all:

There is a use for that crappy paper helm which I took after completing the Vault of Therayne combinations? If yes, blasted be my sheeps into a pack of wolves, because I already transmuted it into 4 gold!!!

Question 3 for all:

I saw on the forum (sorry for not remembering the post) something about Egg Chamber after Vault of Therayne (something about "there is an Egg Chamber")? If yes, where is that Egg Chamber?

I am bad with names, you mean after the 4 light puzzles right? The Egg chamber as in Easter Egg, that's what the helm is, so you already have it (Helmet of the Unknown Comic), or rather had it. I don't think there's anything special you can do with it, unless it is connected to ??? that shows up in the expansion as well. I have a triangular thingie from him, but can't do a thing with it so far. Noone I know either so...

Thanks again Ashen. If the Egg Chamber is that one which is after solving the 4 puzzles, then is nothing I can do.
I was wondering though, if does exist a kind of mysterious quest like in the original DS2. "???" showed for me a couple of times, not as much as in DS2, but it left nothing like your stone except useless items (which I transformed with the light speed into gold).

No problems!

As for ??? as far as I can tell there is no new quest, like the one in the original DS2, at least as of yet. I am unable to find anything, and I've spoken to others and zero from them too. So ??? does show up but that's it. If anyone finds something out I'll bring it up for sure but nothing yet.

actualy papagamer said it ALL, but how bout screenshots ... i would like to SEE them (the recipe as well and ready "product")... same as this dude who post his screens for some recipes that he found, lets collect them all so the guys from gamebanshee can put them in their walkthough section and will be really good info for all (i think) ....
