I searched the board and saw the above thread from last year, but it didn't answer my question, which is: I'm in Act III and have to imbue the soul staff to get the nodes of earth, frost and phoenix. I don't have a soul staff - is it possible to sell it or feed it to a pet because I've looked in the area where it is supposed to be and it's not there so I'm thinking I might have thought it was not needed and gotten rid of it. I've been to all the stores and don't see one. Does anyone know if I can find another soul staff somewhere else.

You cannont sell the soul staff. You must've have dropped it somehow. I myself don't know of any other way to get one other than the mage herself. You might check the storage chest next to the teleporter in one of the towns. You may have put it there. If you need to know where all the caverns are located, just let me know, and I'll tell ya I've done that quest many, many times.
Thanks for your help. I have looked in the storage chests, but I'll go back to other places I've been to see if I can find it. It helps to know that I couldn't have sold it.
