Need help on Melee

Post by Carylith »

Hi guys, Im done with the game with a pure caster and recently switched to a melee character seeking a real challenge :)

Im full Warfare right now, lvl 20. I still need a second mastery, but I dont know which one to choose. I was going for Defence but I dont see the synergies with warfare to be worth the effort, considering Im a hard core dual wielder.

Any advice on which mastery would work well with a dual wielder melee? Is Rogue a good complement? or should I sell my soul to the devil and pick earth for the enchantment and "ring of flame"?

Thank you in advance :)

I've tried storm and it's sure fun.
With Storm surge you get area stun retaliation, the wisps eye of the storm also help some.
I get my butt kicked quite a lot on legendary tho, need to find some decent stun resists.

the assassin is really nice too adding poison bleeding and evrything to your weapon is really nice. You might like the traps too who knows?

Well if u dual wield do not choose Defense

If u want to have 7-10k hp, more damage and a pet then choose Nature

If u want not to use health potions,to slow and debuf all around you + damage for u -choose Spirit

I am not sure whether the other masteries combine well with warfare

Defence is a really good choice to stay melee, but if you want dual wield don't go that way. You get great sheild damage, good healing, good recharge buffs and offcourse the migthy colossus. Furthermore you get lots of hitpoints and attributes in strength and Dex...

Nature offers the best survivability from Heart Of The Oak + Circle of stones. You can choose pets (Wolves) to buff your damage and speed, or you can just take Heart Of The Oak + Circle of stones alone for more focus on warfare.

Storm/Earth offers elemental damage but you will rely on finding + elemental damage gear for this to work out well. Earth is really hard to play though due to lacking defence skills. Storm offers Squall that makes archers miss and do damage (Best storm skill at later levels IMO)

Spirit/rogue can make you deal great damage + pets (Traps, Lich King, Outsider), but you will have a hard time agaist the archers in epic+legendary.

Hunting is not a good choice IMO.
