And idk about the throwing lightsaber thing, if you're in the middle of a big battle, and you lose your lightsaber, you're screwed.
That's why you carry along extras, or if you dont have another saber, who said no to swords/blasters? or if you're party member(s) is/are down, go over to them and pick theirs up. then when fighting is over you can give it back (or just run over to the corpse with YOUR lightsaber, pick YOUR lightsaber up, and continue you're ass-kicking sith extinction.)
There are already so many force powers... I don't know. I would like to able to get force crus or force enlightenment earlier in the game though.
I agree. Force crush was such a sweet power, but you got so late that it did little good. Make it available to us right of the bat.
I wonder if this force power might be good because this idea comes from Dark Messiah of Might and Magic (seen the E3 demo, by the way). Its about this fireball except that you control the movement of the fireball with your crosshair. So, if you aim your crosshair at an enemy, you will be able to direct the fireball towards the enemy and hit it, especially when he/she is moving. Good also for hitting enemies that are airborne.

P.S. I think that this fireball of Dark Messiah of Might and Magic seems to have taken a page from Half-Life 2 about using the laser on the rocket launcher to direct the missile.
I read somewhere that there is a power called force fireball. it's a dark side power, obviously. That would be really sweet. Also, there is supposed to be a neutral power called force vanish that basically makes you teleport. I'd like to see that. Maybe "teleport" behind the targetted enemy.

Hmm, that power sounds similar to Fable's assassin rush power for teleporting behind enemies and attacking them.

Jedi powers..... sort of....

Not necessarily a Jedi power, but in the next KOTOR, I want my lightsaber to actually behave like the lights sabers in the movies.... ie: not just point damage, if you get a clear swipe across someone you cut them in half and their done!

Of course, by the same definition, it would make battling the Sith that much more dangerous because now their light sabers could cut me in half!

or it could be that a killing blow could do that. also a critical hit might cut off an arm or something, instead of hitting like in k1&2, you can actually duel. and i think this should be under: What you want in Kotor 3. i dont know how to contact a moderator

I think they should make Force Barierre and Energy Resistance absorb more dammage. If you are a level 50 Jedi saving the galaxy, you should be able to use Force better than just stop 20 damage. How about having Energy Resistance I-X, where I absorbs 10, II absorbs 20, ... ,IX absorbs 90 and X absorbs 100?

the official force powers from wikipedia

So these are some of the force powers that Jedi and Sith are supposed to have that wasn't included in either Kotor:

*****

Core:
Farsight - Makes the mind of the Jedi fly through space and perceive all around. This is a key ability, as it allows the user to see events over great distances that are occurring. The most notable practitioners of this power are Yoda and Palpatine, although most Jedi Masters apparently had skill in it. The Galactic Battlegrounds PC game suggests that clone troopers gained a substantive advantage over their adversaries by virtue of their Jedi commanders passing on knowledge of incoming enemies.

Psychometry - The mental technique of picking up impressions and traces of information about the object touched and the events that have surrounded it. The Kiffu are able to use this power, and, particularly, Quinlan Vos is skilled with its use

Malacia is a rare Jedi power that induced extreme nausea and dizziness in its victim. The ability was completely incapacitating but did not cause any lasting damage. Oppo Rancisis taught the skill for two decades but few of his students ever mastered it.

Morichro - A power not taken lightly by the Jedi for its fear of misuse, it is nonetheless a neutral ability that puts an opponent in a suspended state by shutting down particular bodily systems. Yaddle is a master of this power, as her student Oppo Rancisis is with Malacia, a more potent variation of this technique. The Sith tend to avoid this ability in favor of more aggressive powers

Light:
Combustion - The ability to cause an object to explode through concentration. Yarael Poof has been known to use this power.

Projection - Creates an inanimate apparition that looks like the caster. This ability, which first appeared in Mysteries of the Sith, is normally of limited use.

Illusion - The ability to make animated apparitions not limited to the image of the wielder. Yarael Poof casts illusory forms to elude a direct contest. This power has been known, however, to have also been used by the Sith Naga Sadow. Corran Horn is also skilled in this ability, once having used it to force his enemy Leonia Tavira to see the Super Star Destroyer Lusankya instead of the much smaller and largely combat-unready Errant Chance, in I, Jedi.

Alter Environment - Various techniques that allow the user to manipulate nature, enabling the creation of such phenomena as Force whirlwinds or fog over limited areas. Plo Koon's strength with this power is augmented by his considerable knowledge of physics.

Force-Meld - This is a technique where number of Force users join their minds together through the Force, drawing strength from each other. This allowed the Jedi fighting the Yuuzhan Vong to form as a single, powerful entity. Also, Luke's students defeat Exar Kun's Force ghost in this manner, and help the Jedi clone Dorsk 81 repel a fleet of seventeen Star Destroyers aiming to invade Yavin IV. In Dorsk 81's case, Meld provided him with so much power that it ultimately killed him.

Blinding - With this power, a Jedi can obfuscate any person's vision, making it very difficult for the Jedi to be spotted, targeted, or defended against. This power can be countered by Sense

Animal Friendship - The ability to calm an animal. Anakin Skywalker uses this technique to still the Reek and ride the creature in the Geonosian Execution Arena in Episode II. Jacen Solo uses this ability to have a dragon help him in The Crystal Star.

Dark:
Rage - For a short time, this power augments the speed, strength and fierceness of the caster, at the expense of health and defense. A noted ability of Sith Marauders, this power may have been used by Luke to defeat Darth Vader in The Return of the Jedi. An important technique for Form VII and only Master Windu has been able to use it properly without falling to the dark side. Rage is also known as Fury.

Force Throw - Causes objects to be hurled towards a target. Darth Vader used this ability against Luke in The Empire Strikes Back; Darth Maul used it in The Phantom Menace in order to hit a switch and open a door while fighting; Count Dooku used it in Attack of the Clones to drop part of a pillar onto an unconscious Obi-Wan Kenobi and an injured Anakin Skywalker. A skilled force-user can throw multiple large objects simultaneously at great speed, as evidenced by Darth Sidious during his duel with Yoda in the Senate chamber. During the same duel, Jedi Master Yoda himself hurled a spinning delegate seat back at Sidious.

Mind Control - A more advanced, and more malicious, form of "Persuasion/Suggestion", allowing one to enter another's mind and control brain activity. Darth Sidious seems to have perfected this ability to an extent not before seen.

*****

I think it's pretty obvious that there are some really cool powers in here that we didn't get to see in either Kotor, that would actually be really useful. Farsight, tell me that wouldn't be nice, to be able to see if you should or shouldn't go into the next room (maybe only let jedi consulars have it...). Psychometry, that sounds like a perfect way of finding side-quests, or an alternate way to solve main quests (maybe only sentinels, since they're the investigators- think that would have been nice when you were trying to clear that doctor on Onderon? or maybe when you where trying to track down all those stupid starforges?). COMBUSTION!!!! Come on, how come we didn't get that on the light side? Don't know how to incorporate it, but probably ought to only be available to consulars, since it sounds really tricky to do. All the illusion stuff, like that wouldn't be useful in combat, so that the enemy would attack the wrong target. Force meld sounds really useful too, maybe it should be only sentinels and consulars (and if you guardians are getting angry by me ignoring you, that's because guardians aren't force masters, they're lightsaber masters!) Blinding? That would be good, maybe make that only for guardians, so that they could have a combat specific force power that would be useful. Animal empathy? It would be pretty neat to have a newly made pet rancor at your disposal (and the success or not should depend on your wisdom, charisma, and constitution). Rage!!!!! As if every Sith shouldn't have this skill! Maybe just guardians, to make it fairer.

Why not make this power universal? It will be much better that way, considering that both Jedi and Sith can use that power freely. In addition, I remember someone mentioning an exact Force power except that its called Force Grip. To add to that idea, maybe they could follow Half-Life 2's gravity gun idea where you can grab objects with the right mouse button and the left mouse button to fling the object. You can also do that to ordinary enemies as well. ;)

oooooooooooooo

I'd just love the one and only power force push
It may of been in the 1st and 2nd but it was hardly effective and the enemy you used it on kind of walked back a few stepd fell over then quickly got back up again. I'd like to use it in a way that you face the enemy you wish to use it on then just empty all your FP reserve on him. A forsh push a lot like in Episode 1 where obi and quigon use it on the droids in theed.

sorry to moan but i cant read this topic i got through 2 pages and my head almost poped.

Over half the powers mentioned where either eready in the game or would mean a complete redisign of the games engine someone said make the roof collapse its a great idia but remember there is no jump in kotor so your talking about compltley sealing off a passage or tunnel or having the roof collapse and then just dissapering

somone elce said hoe does a lightsaber block a sword try playing the game as far as i can remember swords are coverd in a special cortise ? is that the word im not sure now but anyway it prevents dammage to the weapon when dueling with lightsabers

I think the powers in the game are enough mabe make force crush a optional upgradble force power instead of just a sith lord power

force powers

I'd like to see a force power like that in ep 3 when count dooku moves the bridge or wahtever and traps obi-wan. If you could roll around and move objects and fling them at enemies that would be sweet. as you got more xp you could bigger things, and will saves and all that jazz could be applied.

I would like lots of more physic oriented powers, the physics dont have to affect the gameplay itself, just the looks of it. Star Wars is perfect for physics! :D And I'd also like to see less "mage" powers. :p

I agree. This will make the effect of using Force powers much more satisfying, especially when using offensive Force powers like Force Wave as an example. I also do hope that it does have some effect on the environment as well. ;)

Erm, what type of mage powers? Could you elaborate more on this?

P.S. Welcome to the forums, DarthZ. :)
