Werebear problem

Post by sort-vampyr »

I have this werebear and he's really doing great, but something is wrong...
his attacks keep getting interrupted... It says alot of diffrent places that your attack can be interrupted, but i don't know why. Is it if you recive damage while attacking? Any other char I've had (20-30 since the game was created) NEVER had any problems. No matter how many enemies hit them I've never noticed anything, so why the big deal now?. His attack (like most werebears) is kinda slow. might it be that the attack is so slow that it is easier to interrupt before it hits? My other theory is that I have this great block that gets in the way of my attack (like 65 % or like that). If you block while attacking does this interrupt your attack?

plzzz help, its a major problem for my char

If your attacked in Melee, then yeah, your attack can be interrupted, which is why some skills prevent this like skills from a paladin or barbarian.

One thing I'd suggest you download (If you have the latest patch or at least 1.10 installed) is PlugY the survival kit.

The mod, once installed, makes the game a slight bit more challenging, but at the same time, gives you more inventory, stash and horadric cube space to store items, as well as the option to remove skills and replace them where you desire.

It is indeed halfway a cheat, but not fully considering the challenge of some of the monsters. It is wise, that if you use PlugY that you also use /players 8 throughout the entire game.

This is so you don't have to worry about a messed up character, you can rebuild him.

I'm sorry but I don't see what this mod has to do with my interruption problem... XD

It should be noted that plugin modules and cheats such as PlugY, should NOT (and often, cannot) be used when you play online at Bnet but only in single player.

what it has to do with the interruption problem is that many people find that there skills aren't up to snuff and have problems such as an attack interruption, and therefore want to change it.

I suggested that because it allows you to change it.

And CE is right, most definitely don't use PlugY on Bnet

The "funny" thing about this whole thing is that I'm still nearly convinced that it is my block that is the problem, cuz when I use my Fleshrender + sigon's guard I get interrupted all the time (like 90 % of the time I don't hit the mark, eventhough my AR says I'll hit my enemies like 79 % of the time). But when I use my maul (just an ordinary one with some gems for damage...) I don't get interrupted at all. You would think that when I use the maul it would be easier for my enemies to interrupt my attacks since the attack gets so much slower. And when I use my shield I have more def and block, which should make it harder for my enemies to hit me (and in that way don't get interrupted). And it is still the other way around!
I can't think of any other explanation than it is when i block (69 % of hits) my attack gets interrupted

tell me if this can be true!

Do you use Rabies or Hunger? I never played much Druid myself, but I remember hearing something about Rabies and block not working together. For Hunger, I think you go into the block animation when you block, which means you'll get interrupted all the time when you use a shield. Why don't you use a 2-hand weapon instead?

The blockrate is fine, you just need some % faster block rate or a faster attack. As a bear, I think it's best to use a two handed weapon though. It just fits the character better. Ribcracker is a fairly good weapon for werebear and pretty easy to find.
