I've given the lightsaber colors some tought, and i'd like the most a
- Rimlight Red lightsaber: very Dark Red with a dense black glow
- Light blue lightsaber: half blue, half white mixed up.
- Night vision like green lightsaber: Night vision green, but only some darker.
- yellow/green lightsaber: like 75% yellow and 25% green mixed up.
- dark purple lightsaber: like 50/50 black and purple mixed up.
- 100% black lightsaber: only black, and nothing else, something you only see in the dark by its glowing properties.

Well, you know, all you people here seem to want one thing. The Star Wars RPG in complete videogame form. Or you want something completely moronic, like a change of the engine. If you want to play a different engine, go play one of the Jedi Knight games, Jedi Academy in Particular.
Options that will probably NOT be added into KotOR III
-Selectable Species, coders don't want to sit there doing different games for different species when the story line is pretty much one way with different choices along it.
-Multi-Classing, Unless you glitch it, they probably wont be adding the ability to take on more than two classes (Base Class and Prestige Class).
-You will still have to be a Jedi in the end because after all only a true master of the force can defeat the darkside and either eliminate it or control it.
To the guy with the saber talk
1. Rimlight Red wouldn't happen, a 'Dark'saber with a red glow... NGH.
2. So either you mean like one of those two special crystals in KotOR I or the Cyan Crystal is KotOR II
3. Ok, so, Viridian?
4. Ok, a 'Spirte' saber
5. Hmm, again, dark blades just can't happen (not, in terms of physics, possible)
6. Again with the 'Dark'saber!
If you want a darksaber get a PC and some mods, don't expect the programmers to fall to your whim.
Sorry if I just came down on everyone's parade, but I just thought I would add a little 'Reality Check' to the conversation.
Now those people who want more sidequests, those I agree with, and maybe next time LucasArts wants the game rushed out for the holiday season they should take a chill pill and simply WAIT. If you use your advertising and wait till after a game that was supposed to be good (but isn't) comes out then you start in with advertising (for real this time, showing the opening title movie in Best Buy doesn't count)

I was just curious how you know all this? You speak everything with such authority as though you are going to be designing the game. All of us make sure to express our ideas as simply opinions or hopeful whisps of optimism, yet you seem to think you have the answers... period... end of story. The fact of the matter is, unless you are one of the game developers, you have no clue as to what they will and won't do. You are just as in the dark as us. You are expressing your opinion, and thats cool, I just resent being given a "reality check" by someone who doesn't know any more than the rest of us.Drendar Morevo wrote:Options that will probably NOT be added into KotOR III

Dark blades do exist in Star Wars RPG. They are very rare, but do exist. I don't know how they explain it, but they're there.Drendar Morevo wrote:5. Hmm, again, dark blades just can't happen (not, in terms of physics, possible)
Oh, and by the way, welcome to the forums.

Well, yes and no, Ender04...
Of course he doesn't know what's going to be in the game - hell, we don't even know if its going to get made or not. But sometimes, the suggestions here can test the limits of practicality, or, at the very least, commerciability (is that a word?).
That said, there's no reason we can't dream, eh?
On the subject of dreaming, after playing Fahrenheit, my new wish for KOTOR3 is that its made not by Obsidian or Bioware, but by Quantic Dream instead.

Fair enough... You are right about the suggestions testing the limits of practicality. Some suggestions are just downright crazy. I just didn't feel like some of the ones he listed were so bad and I resented the way he acted as though he was the authority on it. And yes, there's no reason we can't dream, LOL.bigredpanda wrote:Well, yes and no, Ender04...

Oh well, you see, I understand how programmers think and feel, after all, I am one.
There is no reason you can't dream this is true, but when the thread says things you want in KotOR III it would be better if it were kept in the realm of 'possible' rather than 'Uncanny'.
I apologize if you feel like you must resent me for using the term 'reality check' but it is what I was doing.
In the Current Wizards of the Coast d20 RPG there is no such thing as a 'dark'saber, so unless you are referring to the apocryphal West End Games D6 version, I have no idea what you are talking about.
Oh and thanks for the welcome.

Hmm. Interesting. That game is good too, though I never played it before. Only seen the review of that game on TV. Oh well, I wish IO Interactive was chosen to develop KOTOR 3 but since they only create action games like the Hitman series and Freedom Fighters, I doubt they would be good candidates.bigredpanda wrote: On the subject of dreaming, after playing Fahrenheit, my new wish for KOTOR3 is that its made not by Obsidian or Bioware, but by Quantic Dream instead.

Or it'd be nice if they got the 'ole Black Isle crew back together...bigredpanda wrote: On the subject of dreaming, after playing Fahrenheit, my new wish for KOTOR3 is that its made not by Obsidian or Bioware, but by Quantic Dream instead.
To be honest, all I'd want out of KotOR III is a storyline that isn't linear or stereotypical, characters and NPC's that have depth, and of course, an epic conclusion to a pretty good series. Is that too much to ask for? Not many games in recent memory have had those three things.

How about instead of making just one massive battle make like 6 of them. Also I wouldn't mind seeing an enemy that was a little kid....kinda like FFXI has.....cause some kids are ruthless and calculating

I think the AI of an enemy should be improved rather than using numbers or making an enemy more powerful. Enemies that are powerful will be able to cut your team to pieces but if their AI is dumb, it will be a matter of time before you find a weakness and use it to your advantage. That's what I really dislike about enemies that are tough but do not have competent AI.Mandalorianx wrote: BTW im a mandalorin i need more powerfull enemyes  like the 6 massive battles your talking about. now thats my kind of sport
Also, I would like to mention about the AI in both your team members and the enemy's. I have to admit that they're not very bright, especially your team members. The AI is not good until the point that you have to babysit your team members in terms of how they react and fight in a battle. I mean, you are concentrated on getting rid of a bunch of guys harassing you and the next thing you know, your buddy is heavily battered until a point he/she died in a battle due to using the wrong attack method.
I know that's what the character switching is for but to me, it felt more like babysitting them and it can get frustrating sooner or later. I've a few played games (for example, Commandoes 3: Strike Force) that use this mechanic and that's how I feel whenever I play them. That's why I prefer if you only control your main character only and let the AI control the rest of the party members.
Another nice touch I would like to see is a feature where members will take care of each other whether they're in battle or not. Like if another party member is injured, another member will toss a med pack to the injured member. Same goes for buffing powers as well.
P.S. Sorry for the long post.

PErsonally What would be awesome, would be
Lightside & Darkside Excecution Types
For Example If your character is based off the lightside his execution type would involved cutting off limbs in order to disable thier victims and such and the victims could either #1 submit and and accept deafeat and honor the jedi for sparing his life or try to use his last chance to pull off a shot on the jedi where then you kill him OR!!
Dark Side Executions:
A quick saber thrust to the gut and grbbing you victims head up and shoving it down his throat
or even decapations
and even splitting the body in two with a power type execution
But the Executions could only be inacted when a characters HP was at the certain point
and with the Xbox 360 provide more planets and promises over 150 hours of gameplay.
Also an addition of force powers such as the abilty to not just force push or pull but the abilty to throw nearby items at your victims
And you would have to travel to different planets and lern better fighting techniques from different masters similar to kotor2
Also another quirk, is if you could start off with a stolen ship and purchase better ones as you gain fiancial support to do so.
and customizable armor and such to the color and material, better protective material being more expensive.

light side jedi don't execute their prisoners, they dont believe in it.Zeddicus_Tagnor wrote:PErsonally What would be awesome, would be

i think it would be better for the DS jedi to cut of the limbs, to torture, and then kill their victim.
