Diablo III rumors: it will be comin' out
I just saw a interview with Richard A. Knaak, writer of Diablo:Sin War.
From this article i'm sure Diablo III is on the Blizzard project schedule and imo this legendary game maybe release at next E3, who knows hah
my favor all the time

Diablo was not the best RPG there is and it never will be because it's not an RPG.
Role-playing game - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
I'm not sure the correct title for Diablo or Diablo 2 except a "Run around and kill stuff game."
There are several implications that Diablo 3 will exist, but because we don't know anything for sure, there's an equal chance that it won't exist, or that it may become a full fledge MMORPG.
Now, I did like the diablo series, I didn't love it, I wasn't addicted, I liked it. Adding a story and flavor to it would be nice, it'd definitely catch my attention. But if they make it another of the same ol' same ol', or worse, an MMORPG, Blizzard has lost pretty much all my respect.
From what I've seen, the MMO's of today are really not at all appealing, most of it is just running around and killing things, most commonly going player versus player, which I despise.
If they do decide to create an RPG of Diablo, then they've "woo'd" me, and nothing more. I've never really been impressed with diablo, but that's just me.
So I'm leaving my vote for your poll pretty much undecided, for reasons of the above, as well as the neutral vote you presented also does not have RPG's aside from -maybe- fallout.

I just found an article in Gamespot relating to Diablo 3 under the rumour control section. Here's the link. Hope it answers your question.
''They say truth is the first casualty of war. But who defines what's true? Truth is just a matter of perspective. The duty of every soldier is to protect the innocent, and sometimes that means preserving the lie of good and evil, that war isn't just natural selection played out on a grand scale. The only truth I found is that the world we live in is a giant tinderbox. All it takes...is someone to light the match" - Captain Price

at first I was a diablo maniac but the game is too .... sorta dumb. at one level I get too bored. there is no thinking in the game the whole game is to walk around and kill stuff. I am bulgarian and there was one time when all the guys played diablo eastern sun ( I think eastern sun I a bulgarian version) the game was full of bugs and it was very complicated.

FalloutStaker- You can go without cursing on this site. It's against the rules and quite frankly you can get your point across without profanities anyways.

Thanks for the translation, Boby, I believe that was indeed what he more or less said. I'm also very tempted to react the way Siberys did, both to make a point, and both because I do actually have a hard time understanding some sentences... Then again, a screenname that has 'uber' in it and l33t-speech are indeed quite a match
It wouldn't surprise me if there would be another Diablo III game, since the second one was quite popular I think, and definitely a fun and creative game. It was also a bit repetitive, lots of running forward and smashing/blasting enemies away. In other words: click-the-click-click-click. Then again, if you just accepted the fact that this game isn't about a real story and depth, but just about getting stronger and kicking ass, then this game could last quite a long, fun time for you. If they would make a third one, I would hope it would have better graphics, since great 3D surroundings could definitely add a lot to this game (opposed to a Baldur's Gate game, where the half 2D/3D graphics are actually one of the charms of those games IMO)
In the end, if it's get made, or if it doesn't, I don't really care. Works for me either way.

That isn't true at all. Blizzard recently announced Starcraft 2, and that would be a HUGE focus due to how easy it is to simply manage an MMO versus how hard it is to design a video game.Aragorn12 wrote:I wouldn't be suprised if they didn't make Diablo III since all bizzard focuses on is WoW, but i'm hoping for it!
Plus, they have two upcoming games, Starcraft 2, and one unnannounced, I believe. The latter can possibly be diablo 3.

Not really. Both oblivion and NWN aren't hack and slash RPG's. Granted, they feature a lot of this, but they are still normal RPG's due to what else they feature.such as Oblivion and NWN
A Hack and Slash RPG that can give it a run for it's money might be Titan Quest. Very similar game, a lot of better and cooler things in it, but also a lot of downsides. And so far, I'd say Titan Quest and Diablo 2 are equal in quality and gameplay value. This is Including Lord of Destruction and Immortal Throne of course.

there is a 50/50 posibliity that it could create it but i wont be inpressed i am currently playing diablo because of sheer boredom and i dont think its helping i mean hack and slash games are a good time saver for about 3 mins then u either get bored or adictive. but blizzard is renowned for hack and slash so the only problem for bliz in the theory of diablo 3 is the story line but if they just improve the graphics, add a charicter creation system, and probebley make sure a**holes on the battle net are forced to play legit and that could very well help its chances
(if ure on this form and reading this right now take a couple of pointers from what i say and dont screw up)
