Do I need to find them in the order from 1 to 18 or just randomly ?

I already learn the chant of Death from a Mage in Amanlu and also spoke to 1 of the spirit in the basement of Amanlu but the rest keep saying, I need to speak to the Mage which I already did ?? Am I missing something here ? Please help. Thank you

Shrines

Finishing the quest with gives U Chant of Dead doesn't mean U know language of the dead. U need to use the shrines (there is at least one near each ghost) to spell the Chant of Dead. This chant gives U ability to understand language of the dead.

And regarding order: U can visit random ghost. The Quest is fulfilled when u talked to to all of them doesn't matter in with order.
