KOTOR III Main Theme
You know what really makes stories so great that you want to stand up and applaud the creator of such a story. Sure, the characters are good, the dramas good, but what has always found its way into my heart is how a story never changes its theme.
For instance.
Kotor I= Star Forge, Jedi Civil War, and memories.
Kotor II= Mandalorian War, force wounds, Sith Lords, Malachor V.
So what about Kotor III, my opinion.
Kotor III=True Sith, Revans Past, the gray philosophy, and the Unknown Regions.

Questions for KOTOR Series
I. How did Revan get such a large fleet.
II. How did Revan change so many Jedi to the Darkside.
III. Why did Revan Joing the Darkside.
Two questions answered, one remains and should be explained in KOTOR III

What i rekon would be cool is,
if u get 2 romance with a character like in the others lol and somthing can happen to the character you romance with like she gets captured by the sith or somthing and ur fighting for her, they should play in the theme that represents anakin and padme lol. also wot id want is like a powerful tune for wen ur fighting a sith lord

Interesting question. I would add to this: in KOTOR I, there was a definite divide between light and dark side - but this underlying question of whether what the Jedi Order had done (both to Revan, and in not fighting the Mandalorians) was "good" or "bad".
In KOTOR II, Kreia's teaching seemed to involve a lot of blurring the boundaries between light and dark.
So I tihnk the whole "grey philosophy" might come in to III. I think whatever the True Sith are, they're appearance will involve some kind of overriding of the light/dark divide - perhaps you'll need the presence of both light and dark side companions in order to successfully defeat them. Or something.
I agree with bigredpanda regarding the 'grey' philosophy. This is one way to show the human side of the conflict, like the Jedis aren't really that good and the Siths are not really that bad as what most Star Wars titles portray them. After all, not everyone is perfect.
I would also like one of the themes of KOTOR III to show the realities of war and the effects of the ongoing conflict between the Jedis and the Sith. A good example is portraying the feelings and views of individuals from both camps regarding the conflict and the civilians as well. This may give a human feel of the conflict.

''They say truth is the first casualty of war. But who defines what's true? Truth is just a matter of perspective. The duty of every soldier is to protect the innocent, and sometimes that means preserving the lie of good and evil, that war isn't just natural selection played out on a grand scale. The only truth I found is that the world we live in is a giant tinderbox. All it takes...is someone to light the match" - Captain Price

A bit like the refugees dotted around KOTORII, Nar Shadaa in particular. Yes, the games have been good so far with presenting problems as complex and non-straightforward, not just "bad guy! blam!" etc. In fact, I think that's one of the things I really enjoy about the KOTOR series above many other games.DesR85 wrote: I would also like one of the themes of KOTOR III to show the realities of war and the effects of the ongoing conflict between the Jedis and the Sith. i wudnt mind seeing more in flight battles or like actual galaxy battles like in Battlefront but the grey phliophpy has to be a must because there some many different ways of looking at force like in epsiode 3 movie when the sith lord(i cant remember his name) and ankin aka vader had the discussion bout wat is realli is gud or wat is realli evil. the next game shoule have more optional characters no just if ur male or female or sith or jedi and there maby another jedi class

Well, the grey philosophy implemented back in KOTOR 2 was meant to show that Jedis aren't that good and the Siths are not as bad as what was portrayed in most Star Wars games and movies. In a way, it shows that not everyone is perfect and they have faults just like you and me. In addition, it will give a human feel to the game and not some perfectly good and perfectly bad group almost portrayed in any RPG out there.buxton_boy wrote:Yea Isn't Kotor suposed to be you pick between the dark and the light, the whole gray mechanic you guys have come up with completely destroys the point of kotor there are know grey options

I think there will be a lot about the Old Sith ways and the Old Jedi ways, before the Hyperspace Wars and the whole mishap on Korriban.
This will probably make it understandable for the Exile and Reven to be rendered with minute Force abilities, maybe a change in their ecosystem, or what had happened pre-KOTORIII, or maybe the ability to rob people of their force ability is comman and happens to the two.

Living Force
Maybe instead of having "neutral" you will have the living force
Living force is what Qui-Gon JIn taught and was all about. Proponents of the Living Force view, such as Qui-Gon Jinn, espoused a philosophy of "living in the moment," relied heavily on their instincts and concentrated more on sensitivity to living things, rather than fulfilling destiny, as was what the Unifying Force was about. Had the Jedi Order adopted this stance, it might have allowed them to prevent the war that gave rise to the Galactic Empire, as many its members lost themselves in looking toward the future rather than observing the occurrences unraveling in front of them.

Not sure this is a theme or a plot
K3 should be about what Revan was doing in the outer rim and the True Sith. I think Revan was collecting an army or an object that could help in the fight against the True Sith. So instead of collecting star maps or Jedi masters, the main character can be collecting whatever Revan was collecting.

maybe you could collect ancient holograms that gives you some training in an ancient tecnik in the force, to help stop the true sith, or something...marten0305 wrote:K3 should be about what Revan was doing in the outer rim and the True Sith. kotor 3 idea
i have an idea for a kotor 3, although im pretty sure lucas arts wouldnt care too much about fan ideas.
i think your main character should be a padawan survivor from the dantoine attack during the jedi civil war. you should start as carth searching for jedi to help him find revan. he should find you on nar shaddaa as an exchange thug, and convince you to help him, while also continuing your training, left behind years ago. later in the game you should play as the exile in the unknown regions, searching for revan, until you find him/her. then go back to your main character. you should travel to all the planets revan AND the exile went to looking for clues, plus new ones until you get an idea of where they went. the last good half of the game should be in the unknown regions, searching for revan and by the end you (via conversation choices) either join revan in the battle against the sith empire, or join the sith empire, consumed by the dark side and do the final battle against revan. The exile should be revan right hand either way, and play a role much like sion did in kotor 2, except for some parts be playable. it seems like it jumps around too much, but if you go right from playing as the exile searching, to seeing him/her as revans right hand, it gives A LOT of room for history to be uncovered. theres room to play with, but in my mind it could work.

i think that you should be a new character and your journey will be of finding Revan and the exile, adn the choices along the way will determine if you Destroy the Republic once and for all or you save the Republic from total destruction
