Where do you find good spears...
I searched spear, spears and only two posts so I'm wondering if anyone knows where to find a good spear. I know a merchant or a chest might have one. Also I can think of neanderthals as a monster that typically has them.
I guess I am trying to use the greater brain power of the forum as I am making a warden and want to farm for a sweet spear. I don't do tweaking only what I can find with each char; so don't say farm leg typhon with a diff char!!!!

Edit: oh just for a reference my char is currently entering epic but that will probably change with time.

Right Speech has four aspects: 1. Not lying, but speaking the truth, 2. Avoiding rude and coarse words, but using gentle speech beneficial to the listener, 3. Not slandering, but promoting friendliness and unity, 4. Avoiding frivolous speech, but saying only what is appropriate and beneficial.
farming the right boss
from my personal experience, you can get good equipment from majestic chests - but then it's random (but related to where you are in game, Greece Egypt...)
but if you want something very specific, let's say in my case mage gear, then farm a mage boss. I recently farmed the undead mage boss in Athens Catacombs, since he was fairly easy. half of the rare stuff I got was from him and the other from the chest.
also, from time to time I get rare gear from skeletal remains (on the floor) and from tombs.
then again, not sure which boss uses spears... so you should find that out

The thing is, weapons and armor and just about any item aside from quest items have no specific location. So the question is not where but when, and by that I mean when at what level.
The easiest thing to do is to go farming. Go to any creature in the game (Preferably the latest) that was a boss (Name in Red) and had a "Majestic Chest" there for when you defeated it. Now, get near a rebirth fountain, close to this boss, save the game, and go farming. This basically means destroying that boss and anything in your way to get the loot, then once that's obtained, save, reset, and start all over.
But yeah, aside from quest items, no item in the game has a set specific location, it's like Diablo 2, random all the way.

Oh I see. I was just wondering if there was any typical monsters people knew about that carried spears. Like the spider men carry poison knives or along those lines. But perhaps thats not the norm.
But the majestic chest idea is good. I can find good pieces of any equip that way. Thanks.
