Where to go now?

Post by Ragin Cajun »

OK, I started as a Night Elf Hunter and it appears I have completed all the quests on my starting island. I'm currently level 12 with a level 10 pet. In the capital city, there is a guy that wants me to deliver a letter to his "lost love" outside the bank in Starbreeze (?). I believe that's the city name. I also believe this is the capital city in the human starting area.

Anyway, I found the hippogriff flight pad and also the ferry, but it takes me to a place called Dark??? (Darkbeach or something like that). It doesn't appear to be where I want to go. Any tips on how I can get to the next area I need to get to? this first area had mostly characters that were about 4-5 levels higher than me and I got beaten up pretty badly so I'm obviously not ready to go there. But I can't seem to get to the bank in the human area to finish the initial quest.

Any suggestions on how to get there, or where I should go next?

Thanks.

i havent played a nightelf in years, but IIRC, you are supposed to take the boat over to Darkshore when you have completed teldrassil.

and about that bank. was it Stormwind? SW is the human captial city.

i got no idea where "starbreeze" is. but remembre, you can skip quests.. it doesnt affect your gameplay if you skip quests. except class quests and attunements quest, but that is for later.

class quests are through the whole lvling process tho. you have done the hunter pet quest, and tamed a pet?

anyway, i think you are supposed to head over to darkshore. then move on to ashenvale.

a very good site with all you need to know about wow is Thottbot: World of Warcraft

The area in bold is called Darkshore. I'd say it's the place you'd want to go next to level-up.

If you don't want to go there, then here's where I suggest Loch Modan or Westfall in the Eastern Kingdoms continent.

For alliance, these are the areas I suggest, depending upon starting zone.
Dwarves or Gnomes/Dun Murogh:
1) Dun Murogh
2) Loch Modan
3) Wetlands, Duskwood or Hillsbrad Foothills
4) Alterac Mountains or Stranglethorn Vale
5) Badlands
6) Hinterlands
7) Searing Gorge
8) Burning Steppes
9) Silithus, Winterspring, or Western and Eastern Plagulands

Humans/Elwynn Forest
1) Elwynn Forest
2) Westfall
3) Redridge Mountains
4) Wetlands, Duskwood or Hillsbrad Foothills
5) Stranglethorn Vale or Badlands
6) Hinterlands
7) Searing Gorge
8) Burning Steppes
9) Silithus, Winterspring, or Western and Eastern Plagulands

Night Elves/Teldrassil
1) Teldrassil
2) Darkshore
3) Ashenvale Forest
4) Desolace, Wetlands, Duskwood or Hillsbrad Foothills
5) Dustwallow Marsh
6) Feralas or Tanaris
7) Felwood or Un'Goro Crater
8) Silithus, Winterspring, or Western and Eastern Plaguelands

Mix and match as you please, though.

IIRC Starbreeze is south of Dolanaar, so you are mixing this village up with Stormwind, the human capital. For your information, the quest you refer to is a seasonal quest, what I mean is that it is A valentine's quest, so may expire very soon! :D Auberdine (Darkshore) is your next stop, where you will find MUCH to do! Also, from Auberdine you can take the ship to Eastern Kingdom (Menethil Harbour) which will give you access to the two other capital cities (Ironforge and Stormwind) which you can access by road to Ironforge, then by tram from Ironforge to Stormwind. If you have Burning Crusade installed, you can also take a boat from Auberdine to Exodar, lower level stuff there but pretty, and here you can learn jewelcrafting among other professions.
