Hi Everyone
I recently bought Titan Quest and it looks great.
But the game freezes on me after just a short while playing.
I have a p4 3.0 with a 6800 gt video card and 1 gig of ram.
I am leaving the game on detected settings and have patched the game to 1.20.
Are there any fixes for this problem i am having?
Thanks Wroding.

Two things.
First, your card and system specs are fine, those are pretty decent for that game, the in between for minimum and recommended.
Second, how long do you wait when it freezes and is it still playing music and sound effects when it freezes? It randomly freezes on me but if I give it like a minute or so, it goes back on as normal. It's due to the amount of stuff it's rendering sometimes.

Hmm, two suggestions then.
Set everything a bit lower, the graphics don't make much of a difference high or low anyways. So lowest would be best. Run the Game in 800 By 600, the only thing that a higher resolution does is it shrinks the size of the character area at the bottom with the potions and skills and hotkeys etc.
After turning every graphical enhancement off, which again, makes very little difference, also turn the "Ambient Music" setting to More Often. What that's going to do is it's going to play the background music more often so that it doesn't have to keep loading it all the time. Less often the music turns on, which takes loading time, then turns off, and 5 minutes later, it turns on again, which means more music loading. As it's set to "more often," your RAM stores a bit of temporary memory into that music so it takes little to nothing to reload the same songs into the game again.
Oh, and make sure that you've updated your sound and video drivers. If you don't know what sound driver you have, hit Start >>> Run >>> Type in DxDiag
And in the tab "sound" you'll find the soundcard you have, which should basically either be Realtek or Soundblaster. It's usually always one of those two.
After you have all that, just google XXXX Drivers and start downloading/installing (It really does make a major difference.)
