I think that ten out of the is a little generous, as the ending kinda left me wanting more, so I would say nine out of ten and hope for a second.

Bioware isn't doing anything new!!! Changing scenery to China or Japan or wherever the game is does not make it any diffrent from KotOR (except the bit more polished companion relations and diffrent combat style, which isn't better at all) - it is short, linear, repetive and too much alike to KotOR. I am not trying to disgrace this game but please - 10 out of 10? 7+, 8 more likely. I think Bioware should actually start to *work* on their games so they don't look like an expansion pack to a really good game

P.S. I'm still mad at them for NWN 2 - they messed it up to with the lame-butt ending for good characters, terribly working engine and tons of bugs!!!
In the mist by the hills the day darkens
In this forest death rules
Over this chasm riders of doom and face him with a deadly pale
Spectre face
Grim as stone, ride to the deathfields... Blackness and doom
A total eclipse of the sun
Die by the northern triology in the mist by the hills

Neverwinter Nights 2 is developed by Obsidian Entertainment, the same guys behind KOTOR 2, by the way. Not Bioware. ;)

To be on topic, though, I have yet to play this game but I am looking forward to giving it a go when I had the opportunity. :)
''They say truth is the first casualty of war. But who defines what's true? Truth is just a matter of perspective. The duty of every soldier is to protect the innocent, and sometimes that means preserving the lie of good and evil, that war isn't just natural selection played out on a grand scale. The only truth I found is that the world we live in is a giant tinderbox. All it takes...is someone to light the match" - Captain Price

Yes, I suppose I may have mistaken. Nonetheless, it's pretty lame that nowadays they just make copies of KotOR, but in diffrent place or time.....Jade Empire is an another KotOR after all. The game is good, I admit that, but to me it isn't right to just copy an idea, change few details and do it as long as ppl will buy it. Plus the console-like looks of games....why does it always have to be a conversion from a console? PC owners loose much of the game because of that, because usually they get games much later and when they do, the outcome isn't as good as it could be if made on PC in the first place. Take Jade Empire and Morrowind for instance - Morrowind had HUGE gameplay area, great graphics and ran great on even weaker PC's. Of course it lacked the dialogs, companions and good\bad system Jade Empire has, but it didn't matter. The game gave us freedom and a fantastic world, which was the reason for the game's greatness, not eye-candies and deciding whether you're a bad Sith Lord or good Jedi Master.

You do know that Morrowind was released initially on the XBOX aswell? Despite it being a great game, its console origins have left their marks on it, much to my frustration. Most notably: lack of shortcut keys. Ever tried bartering? ;)

jade empire. well contructed but no chance for replay, as most quests are non excusive, definate slant against evil, but good combat system. (no dice rolls just stand and attack)

beside of the lack of thing to do beside you main quest, the game is good. with a very cool battle system.the thing i miss is to have more then 2 town to visit, and it was'nt a game that i could replay many time as kotor. beside that good game, with a COOL story!

so 8 of 10(maybe a verry weak 9)
