Things I've noticed in DS2

Need help in DS2

I very much enjoy DS2, I suppose the only problem I've had was getting new gear. Gold was a problem. By the time I actually had the money to buy that rare biting dryad bow (around 4k gold) I was near completion of act 1. Armor was hard to get as well. Mostly due to how hard it was to make money I could never seen to get enough gold to purchase much if anything good from the town shops. Jewelry was always out of my price range with most in the 10k+ gold range. (Like I said before it almost took me the entire act 1 to buy a 4k gold rare bow).. :(

Finding gear from drops was a pain too. Very rarely did a good rare or set item drop. I suppose the good thing with sets is the game seemed to know what pieces you already had and would drop the ones you didn't. Aside from that by the time anything good dropped I was already high enough level to use alot better stuff. It felt like my weapons and gear were 2 steps behind the growth of my character as well as the difficulty of the areas I was in.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. I know drops are random but maybe tips on making gold faster so I can at least purchase some better gear from the shops would help alot. Thank you.

I think that you are having very bad luck or I'm having very good luck. Or perhaps it's a little bit of both.

I'm half way through the first act in my first run through, and I have enough armor that no normal spawn can so much as touch my warrior and my 3 wizards have good rare rings on every finger. The one thing I'm short on is melee power, but I think that may be my own fault for going sword-and-shield instead of double weaponed.

I still can't buy new rings, since I always spend my gold on armor and weapons and new character slots, but I don't really have a problem with that.

Anyhow, I think your luck will turn around.

Or mine will. I'm rooting for yours.

Lady Sophia's Guide to Making Money

My Guide to Making Money (Spoiler, since it is a real lame way to get money. Ie, do such and such, save, reload, do such and such, save, reload, etc)
Spoiler
Requirements:

- One Character with 9+ in Survival
and/or
- One Character with 9+ in Natural Bond
- Plenty of Time and patience

Step 1: Go to Eirulan (starting settlement)

Step 2: From the Teleporter, face the shops. Now turn right, and go towards the exit. (towards the "tutorials"; the bush tutorial, the shine tutorial, etc outside of the town).

Step 3: Now, go collect those bushes. Should get ~11 Potions (skill 9 = large potions. skill 12 = mega potions).

Step 4: Save and Exit.

Step 5: Repeat Steps 1-4 (until full inventory)

Step 6: Sell All at the shop.

You'll get ~250 for Large Potions and ~750 for Mega Potions (though that maybe completely wrong). Needless to say however, you get money really quick. I just do this whenever i need money. Plus, if you reload a game up, the shops reload as well, so you can equip your entire party with the best equipment from Eirulan before they have even gotten half-way through Act 1.
Plus, if you need more money later on, just do the same again. I know it is a little lame, especially if your playing the game RP style, but i find the lack of money, even for a small party a real drag in this game.

Simple way around it, but you probably get very tired of doing it. Enjoy.
