Best Weapon / Fighting Style

Post by evive »

Hello all,

I'm playing Jade Empire through for the first time.... the only games I've liked so far are KOTOR and KOTOR II....

I find Jade a bit heavy on the battle as I'm more into the searching and dialogue stuff... ie: all non-battle things....

Are there weapons / fighting styles that are more damaging?

I have staff maxed out, legendary strike maxed out, and spirit thief on the way.... I'm in Dirge now...

I found the golems in the Lotus Assasins Fortress to be incredibly hard to kill! Took me friggin forever and I lose patience with the battle aspect...

For someone like me who dislikes the battle aspect, are there more effective weapons / fighting styles to use to be able to get through the fighting parts faster?

leaping tiger and legondary strike was good, but the best was stone fury with its power attack and to use legondary strikes power attack after, it gives a masive healt loses(you can also use ice magic's power attack between stone fury and legondary)

my advice is to combinate magic with any other fighting styles....

Mandalorianx you mean Stone Immortal. What you've described is called a Harmonic Combo. Most magic and support styles can initiate it (look through the styles' descriptions ingame for confirmation). To complete the combo, power attack using your martial style and the enemy dies instantly, provided this is done before the green circle underneath the enemies' feet disappears.

By lowering the difficulty to Student, I'm sure you can cruise through the game evive. Use chi strike like no tommorrow on this level.

You've selected a good martial style to max out, you should focus on maxing out a new weapon style next. Swords tend to be much more damaging in this game than staves. I recommend Tang's Vengeance (double axes) or Crimson Tears (double sabres). Took me 2 seconds to take down a golem in the fortress when maxed.

Jade golem

Reason. Hardest difficulty, Maxed Jade Golem, Chi strike, focus 4 hits final boss is dead. Easy.

Or Myriblle. takes heaps of focus but VERY effective VS golems....

The two best styles are Mirrablle and leaping tiger, followed by stone immortal and tempest.

Jade Golem and Longsword are mine, kicked total butt with them. Had Demon sword at the end, but had the starter one until chapter 5, which was cool. Also Dire Flame is cool, and Leaping Tiger makes me think of wolverine. :)
Skandaman, back from the dead, and now kicking butt again. Fear him for he's angry and fillled with sugar. Mmm sugar. :)

The paralyze support style is awesome, I remember beating the last boss even too easily just switching between that, the first sword style (I know there are better ones for that) and legendary strike or the thousand sommething. Didn't try any chi styles, though.

I find Leaping Tiger as powerful as a melee weapon, especially with Silk Fox in support mode.

I find the toughest opponent in the game isn't even the final boss but The Ravager. So I like to use Hidden Fist on him with Chi Strike.

Favorite weapon is Dragon Sword.

Heres some advice kid. If you want to beat the bosses with ease, use Legandary Palm. I can't tell you how many times i beat the **** out of bosses using that move.
