help me please will saved games

please please help me.

i installed dungeon siege 2
downloaded the recent patch 2.2
ran the game, made up a character named him nigel played for a while saved the game.
ran the game again, made up a character (for my grandson) named him big foot played the game for a while saved the game.
ok here is my problem, i decided to play the game again but with my character (nigel) but it will not load my character it will only load big foot. what do i do or can you only have one character which i find very strange.

Are you only trying to use the "Continue" button? The one under the animated picture of your character. This is only to continue playing the LAST saved game.

To load previous games, select Single Player and choose your character with the right/left arrow keys to either side of the character's name.

If you are having problems with switching characters with the arrow keys, I'm afraid I don't know how to help from there.

hi, i tried changing characters but i still end up playing big foot also if i click my character and i click on next (i think i got that right) it just starts a new game.
