Need help finding Algher in LOA

Post by Kaliyat »

I'm embarrassed to say I am stuck this early in the game. I have gone through the Dark Jungle and the area labeled Dig Site, found Therg in the underground city and taken the elevator down to the lower level. I cannot find a way down to the pool of water or otherwise find the area where Algher Mhankur is supposed to be. Is there an entrance outside of the Underground City within the larger Dig Site area or am I missing something very simple. Can't go further in the game.

Hi there:

When you first enter the area, you can see Algher behind a barrier. You will have to take a circuitous route to get to him, fighting your way through various creatures. Depending on your party, that might take about 30 minutes. Just keep following the "path" (some rooms are dead ends) and eventually you will get to him. There is only one entrance and when you find Algher the exit will be down the end of a hall. Good luck! :)

Thanks so much Kathycf. I restarted the game and easily found Algher once I found the corridor I missed off the elevator room. I want to believe that it was not there in the first game but miraculously was there in the restarted game. However, it was probably just my eyes and impatience. Thanks again for replying. Knowing you were out there and would know the answer gave me the patience I needed to keep playing the game instead of giving up in disgust. I'm a 57 year old grandmother and don't play many of these games but I do love killing monsters! This one is giving me great pleasure!

You're very welcome, Kaliyat. I used to get very frustrated with LoA as well, as there are lots of twists and turns and I kept getting lost. I have a terrible sense of direction myself so it does happen.

Glad you are enjoying the game and don't forget when you finish this campaign there are lots of modded maps out there to play on. :)
