IhaveDDII Deluxe: Should I install BW 1st, then start DSII from there?

Post by Grumolch »

Quick question. I'm eager to start playing, so I hope someone responds promptly.

I just got the Deluxe version, with BW expansion included. I just installed DSII, and I've read you can play Acts 1-3 from BW after it is installed. Which makes me wonder.

Should I just play DSII first, then import my characters to BW? Or should I go ahead and install BW now, and play DSII from there from the get go? Would I miss anything from DSII if I chose to do the latter?

Many thanks, and happy gaming,

Gary

My understanding is that the importing feature works less than perfectly. So I'd install BW before playing anything. The original DS2 campaign will be exactly the same either way.

I have recently bought the 'deluxe' version also.

Did you know that if you also install the broken world addon and use the broken world shortcut to start the game (as if playing broken world) it'll let you create a new character as a dwarf and you'll be able to play as a fist of stone or blood assassin in the original dungeon siege 2 map ... after creating a character it'll then give you the option of playing either the DS2 map or the broken world map.

Enjoy! (you'd better cause' i registered just to tell you this!) ;)
