He's actually a bit hard of a boss for melee fighters. Really..hard.
Your best bet is either to keep trying and keep farming, OR start a new character.
(PS. It's actually Typhon, no extra o in the name.)

Listen up maggots, Mr. Popo's 'bout to teach you the pecking order.

Ok I have beaten this game four times, twice with melee characters, and once you get used to it, it isnt too bad, only time consuming..
Ok first off you HAVE to have his moves memorised... know what actions he does when he is cast certain spells (meteorites=death if in vicinity)
This is key because there are two deadly spells unless you have high resistance and once spell when he should be avoided completely...
Now, I don't know how much money you have, But I would suggest around the 200-300 greater health potion mark and the 200-300 greater energy potion mark... Once again, it has to do with how much money you have, but I barely made a dent in my dough pile...
Now, If you have beaten the cyclop's (which were harder for me coz of that screech than typhon)
IMPORTANT - You must pick out when to attack properly - If he is casting meteorites run, I had low vitality resistance, so I also rand when he did the blood sucking one. You just have to go right at him and carefully use potions at the right time. Move around and attack in a nice rhythm, running when he gets off his deadly spells. WHEN HE CASTS SPIKES (he will have spikes all over his body ) DONT ATTACK - This does A LOT of damage to you if you do attack.
Use shrines carefully (ie DON'T use battle marker just when he casts spells use it once its worn off)
THIS IS A VERY VERY time consuming process... Seriously it took me close to half an hour to beat him this way (what with the running away etc etc)
IF you die, DONT go back to town - Just head back, grab your inventory and items asap and get back at it - if you go back to town he gets all his health back, while going back to him will keep his health relatively the same as it was...
Anyway..... I did it this way with both warfare and my defence guy and finally did it - groups of certain enemies were harder for me anyway
I prefered the defenders skills myself but thats just me
SO REMEMBER
A lot of health and energy potions
Meteorites, vampire sucking and spikes = death is not avoided
HAVE FUN
Don't get too impatient
DONT Go BACK TO TOWN
Good luck mate.... Report back the results

Wow, a game that has challenges, what a concept.
Seriously, why quit just because there's a boss you can't beat? Or did you even take some of the well thought out advice Kree gave you?

I understand that titanquest can get demoralizing at times. My first character was an illusionist which isn't a simple class to play for a beginner. A couple of times I thought something was impossible and got demoralized. But eventually I came back and won.
Right Speech has four aspects: 1. Not lying, but speaking the truth, 2. Avoiding rude and coarse words, but using gentle speech beneficial to the listener, 3. Not slandering, but promoting friendliness and unity, 4. Avoiding frivolous speech, but saying only what is appropriate and beneficial.
Hi Laotse,
My suggestion to you would be to hit and run. When Typhon strats his meteor shower run around him as soon as you see the first boulder that falls (which should be well away) then start hitting him while he is preparing for his next attack. You can do this quite easily really its about knowing his two main death attack animations - meteor shower and fire breath - 3rd one (being obvious) is the thorns animation so don't hit him then either however I find that if you get in close and start hitting him I have found him to eat it up quite quickly.
Now you are a Warfare/defense build. One suggestion for you is to go the onslaught path with a shield for the first encounter with Typhon - you will need a few pots (but by no means 200) maybe say 40 or 30.
Life leeching is always good against this fella - my first kill of Typhon was using a spirit/warfare melee char - I used the lich to tank while I crept around the back and smacked the stuffing out of him.
Second melee char to beat him was my dream/warfare build - two weapon build - basically I just ran around timed my hit and run attacks and made use of the charge up fountains on the outside so my hit and runs were more devastating.
If you are finding him very very tough still it might pay to level a wee bit more and maybe get either more res from items, more damage reduction or add to life and basic skill points in a big way. Always go for good armour aswell however this is not hugely essential versus Typhon since a lot of his main attacks are elemental damage ones or guaranteed hit ones.
Good Luck.

I've seen things you people wouldn't believe. Attack ships on fire off the shoulder of Orion. I watched C-beams glitter in the dark near the Tannhauser gate. All those moments will be lost in time, like tears in rain. Time to die.

I think conquerers should not have problems with Thypon, well i didn't have at least. But in normal difficulty you can't charge him up front and beat him in your first encounter -I did this and survived but it was a pumped char-.
Like Vidar said, watch him and learn his spell animations, run in the right time and hit in the right time and like the merchant in the valley of kings say: "Be sure to stock up on potions"

level 32
When I came first to Typhon I was level 32. I play a Templar (DEF/DREAM). I couldn't dent him. Lowest I got to him was 98%.
I decided to get myself an artefact, so I went back to the Tsongmo Ice Caverns through the portal in Orkhan Valley. And I started to kill Yetis and Saberclaw Lions, needing two of each of their charms to finish my artefact. I had real bad luck in my drop rates there. I think 17 or 22 Yeti Furs dropped for 2 Saber Claws. But this got me to level 33 and I went back to Typhon. Stacked with potions.
I was made very much afraid of him hitting the statues of the gods around him, if he hit's the one of Hades he heals and you have to start all over.
So I pulled him out of his centre as far as possible and hit and ran. Dodging his fire and lightning attacks on the ramp, waiting for my Shield Charge to cool down, charge him, hit him a couple of times, and be out before he could cast meteors.
The only times I died was when I was trying to make that one attack that would trigger the Psionic Touch explosion. Mostly that meant I wasn't out in time and got smacked. Then I would just get back up there, grab my XP and start where I stopped. It took me a long time to kill him, but it was worth it in the end.

Typhon is indeed a very difficult opponent, and I don't know if I would've been able to kill him alone. I killed him in multiplayer with a friend of mine. Still we died a few times. (Note: I didn't go multiplayer just for him, we'd been playing together since Act II. I had no idea how difficult he was). We'd take turns in drawing his attention while the other attacked him. When he turned his attention to the attacker, the attacker became the decoy and vice versa. If you really can't beat him alone, try and do it in multiplayer. You can still go back to singleplayer after you've killed him, it doesn't make any difference.
Balance
It is pretty lame when you've been stomping mobs like ants, then around the corner some boss takes you out with one sting.
But bosses are supposed to be hard, if they weren't, all the stomping would add up to nada. There must be some challenge!
And the madness? Adds to the emotional content
/banana anyone?

Ok guy heres what u gotta do...
Get full resistance to poison, life leech, fire, lightning. Put all ur attribute points into strength and a lil dexterity. You also need to make sure ur about level 30+. He was an extremely frustrating boss for me 2 when i started. In fact, since i saw this post i went back and tried to beat typhon with the first character i ever built a spell breaker. And wow it took me literally 20 minutes without dying to take him down and i'm pretty much an expert at taking down these bosses(i basically had no resistance at all). So hang in there man. Also stay away from him when he spikes up and run away from the meteors they will kill u instantly even if u have good resistance!
