K2 sucked because of its not-very-exciting storyline and because the crew interactions didn't go far enough. (Romance, friendship, rivalry)
I thought the special effects were ok though.
If we're going to make a K3 we just need an awesome storyline.

I always thought that the main character should be Revan's and Bastila's son. Anyway, how about the discovery of the true Jedi? If the Sith we know aren't the true Sith, what guarantee do we have that Jedi we know are true?Darth Spawn wrote:i hav just finished reading all your posts and there all great ideas but there is a must we need.... an extreamly out there twist that changes the storyline and shocks even you just like in kotor1 "you know wat i mean"
like something like you turn out to be the last of the true sith or something or you are revans son or etc
oh yah im finally back

because one of the statements made in the loading screens (at least in K1), which, i might add, are annoyingly frequent, says that the sith of "today" are not a species, but followers of an ideal, and that "true sith" died out millenia (or centuries, i forget) ago. so the "True Sith" we're talking about are actually a species (and i'm curious as to how strong these pricks are). The way of the Jedi is more of a teaching. i think it'd be a bit odd for a species to be called "Jedi", whether or not they use lightsabersobrad wrote:I always thought that the main character should be Revan's and Bastila's son. most of you guys have probably played the game the Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion, right? Bethsoft nailed that game down, thinking of everything that an NPC would have. Their own daily routine schedule, food, shelter, personalities (not so much), and all that. You can freely roam the plains of cyrodiil or complete your main quest...its completely up to you. Now think of this, how would you like it if this is the type of game the next kotor turned out to be? Freely roam the galaxy whenever you feel like it and just complete any mission you want and make any modification you want to it? KOTOR 2 is one of my favorite games, and made really well. My only problem with the game is that there could have been more outcomes at the end of the game. Let there be multiple endings based on whether you're on the light side or the dark side, your level, your class, reputation with your crew, jedi, non-jedi, the number of quests you've completed...we can go on forever. And after you've completed the main quest, you should still be allowed to roam the galaxy at your leisure; the game just shouldnt end and take you back to the main menu, having you either load a previously saved game, or start a new game. The developers should create hundreds of miscellaneous quests in the game to keep you occupied in the game for 200+ hours of gaming time. The developers are completely capable of this. There is a huge variety of things that the developers can do in a game like this to make a more better and fun sequel to the kotor series. Add an oblivion and kotor theme to it, and the game will be perfect. Another thing the developers should consider is adding a better character development engine into the game where everything is customizable. face, ears, nose, skin tone, hair color, hair style, eye color, eye shape, fat, skinny, everything! Now you see what my view on what the next kotor should turn out to be, hopefully. When you kill an enemy, you should be able to loot everything they have. If you see a jedi with a cool lightsaber you want, you should be able to kill him and take that lightsaber you wanted. If you remember the previous kotor series didnt have this. You would kill an opponent, only to find they had a med pack and some stimulants. I can only hope the developers will realize the expanse of what they can do to this game and how well it would sell.

i agree with most of your ideas, especially the equipment you loot from someone. i couldn't stand it when i killed Bendak in the dueling ring and all the damn Hutt gave me was his pistol. what else will he do with the rest of the outfit?? i also agree with doing stuff after the main quest is done. depending on what you do, a history lesson could be quite amusing. "After Revan killed his old apprentice, he traveled to countless planets, spending endless hours of his life playing Pazzak and participating in swoop races." :laugh:Dremedios wrote:most of you guys have probably played the game the Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion, right? I think that if kotor 3 were like elder scrolls IV it would be great, because then, you wouldnt be stuck having to play as only 12 different faces and ending the game the same way, and being able to play after you beat the game would be sweet too. Like wouldnt it be cool if you can decide to make revan evil in the beginning of the game, then after you defeat the true sith with him he double crosses you and you have to find him and beat him? or if he was light you defeat the true sith together and you can kil him? something sweet like a double cross, but not a double cross that is at the very end like kotor 2. kotor 2 had a double cross where in 15 minutes the game was over anyway. it should be a double cross where that is where the main storyline branches off from!!!
KOTOR III will be coming out in 2008 on 360!! I saw it posted on a magazine!!

man your image rocks.i agree with everything except the exile how could the best force wielder(Revan) be in the same game with the death of the forceDarth Valthri wrote:agreed with everything, especially the chars and the no broken items thing. the glitches, though, mostly come from a 1-year production time.

1)would be nice, but doubtful
2)i could also live without exile and visas. handmaiden wasn't that bad though
3)yep (and his name is Carth). also wouldn't mind Jolee, to be perfectly honest. from K2, Mira would be good, possibly Atton and/or baodur
4)DEFINITELY!!
5)again, DEFINITELY! only problem is, there's a cinematic (idk if it's dependant on alignment) that shows it fall into the depths of Malachor
6)Yoda, not Joda, and yes his name was Vandar. i think i saw/heard somewhere though that he, along with Zhar, Dorak, and some other masters died in an attack on Katarr
7)along with some other planets, but yes (i'm kinda hesitant on Manaan, though)
8)agreed. Malachor died once, it can die again!
9)never played gothic 3, so can't really comment. i'm happy, though, with the current system
10)would be quite fun, but then it'd take away the turret system if you are under attack... let's do it!!

People have been talking about Elder Scrolls IV, and I think having similar day and night cycles and time related quests would be absolutely ace in K3.kostaskaz wrote:well
4th day and night
Plus, if you're on a planet, and night comes, so all the shops shut up, it would be a useful time to talk to your companions about their back stories etc., rather than like "So, we're in the middle of Dxun jungle, enemies all around us, quest to finish, universe to save. Atton, tell me about your mother..."
He's mostly dead if you played DS in K1.6th the jedi master who looked like Joda(i think his name was Vander)
I doubt Malachor would make a return, unless its right at the start... it was kind of embroiled in the plot of K2, wouldn't really make sense to have it in K3. Like with a lot of its aspects, it's a shame the end of K2 was so rushed, because I think the idea of Malachor as a kind of dead, empty haunting space could have been really cool if fully realised. But ho hum.8th NO MALACKOR AT ALL
What sort of thing do you have in mind? Isn't space travel largely setting coordinates to travel through hyperspace?10th Driving the ebon hawk manually

here's another thing. I really dont like the way the game restricts you from traveling from one place to the next. After you go to Onderon and beat the mission there, you can't travel back until you get the mandalorians to attack with you. You should be able to customize the Ebon Hawk, from it's body style, to engine, cockpit controls, stabalizers, hyper drive, the whole thing. kinda like what the need for speed most wanted engine had. The game is great, and I've just finished my 5th time beating it, and whenever I play the game, I always find something new that i never saw. There also has to be at least 2 or 3 more planets, like courescant, or alderaan. Another thing, all the planets you travel to, the vicinity in which you can freely roam is way too small. Take Nar Shadda for example; in the opening scene where it shows your ship flying into the planet, you see a giant planet, with millions of cities. Where do you go? You go to some refugee sector thats no bigger than a mile. You should have a choice of were to travel to on the planet, sections with different classes of people. Perhaps a sector like the refugee sector where everyone is corrupt and just trying to make a living, or how about a sector where everyone is better off and has money flowing out of their pockets, or how about a sector where all the groupies or hippies of that planet chill and do drugs. What the countryside (if there is one on Nar Shadda)? Let all these sectors have a vast number of miscellaneous quests to choose from and let some of them give you light side points and others dark side points.

agreed upon by me, and many other people, i'm sure. however, the "hippies doing drugs" thing is kind of doubtful. while KotOR is rated Teen, i don't think they'd have drugs put into it, else it'd seem like they were promoting 'em. then again, though, i guess they had something similar with the drunks on Taris, and Atton in the cantina on Nar Shadaa before being attacked by the twileks.. idk, but the drugs factor wouldn't make the game that much more appealing to me. maybe a bit more realistic, but not much more appealing.Dremedios wrote:here's another thing. yep, unlikely. when a new system comes out, the games for the older system stop coming. can't say i've seen N64 games popping out nowadays..

first of all vandar and yoda are the species " whill "
second I think day and night quests would be sweet.
relying on stealth more would be cool, like a quest to stealth it up a little, like on the leviathan on k1.
uhh... can we have a different species be evil, not all humans are bad.
more planets with different dominant race, kasshykk was a planet ruled by wookies and mannaan was selkath, but kotor 2 had all human run planets
maybe have more than one city on one planet, like i know for sure that onderon and taris had more than one city! telos kind of did a good job by letting you go to polar region and ground and the city, but that was it.

stealth ftw! i agree whole-heartedly! i also agre with having a different species be evil... "Time to die, Darth Rodian!". anyways, yes, we need more cities on some planets. however, i think that taris, like coruscant, is one big city. even if it's not, we had "Upper City" "Lower City" and "Undercity". what more do ya want?DarthSpiden wrote:first of all vandar and yoda are the species " whill "

I want different city!! like maybe a different climate city, maybe snowing some where??? i haven't seen that yet, wait I lied polar region for 6 seconds. Uhh I want day and night, that would be cool. Maybe their could be a mission where their is a patrol of men guarding an area and if you want to be a bad ass you can confront them, OR if you want to not get killed, maybe wait until night time and sneak by them!! that would be fun. bring a new concept to kotor series, but otherwise why have stealth? Also, maybe have time progress like months and years, like seriously, the exile gained all of his power in like less than a week, and so did revan. I was like, this makes Luke and Anakin look like baby girls. And another thing is, maybe we can just kill off revan and exile, like we see them for a brief moment, then exile just gets blown up, and revan talks to you for like a minute and then dies. Maybe we can just make revan a male from now on, because in the canon he is a male. I hate exile too, so the life and death of the force can't both live.
