LAN Multiplayer and Additional Party Members

Post by MordenSlayer223 »

So I may have messed up  . I started a new character in Mercenary in Multiplayer, LAN game. I occasionally play with a friend so I have just made the habit of making all my chars in LAN. Plus you get to skip the tutorial.

So last night I beat Mercenary, and killed that little crybaby Valdis. I want to add my 4th party member that I get in Veteran mode, but the Inkeeper won't let me!

I look at the settings of the multiplayer game and it says taht max party size = 3.... Well there is no place to change this. I think I'm SOL.

Anyone know of a solution?

If not, is there a way to convert a MultiPlayer char to SinglePlayer ?

Is there any hope for me? :( :(

When you host a game (and I'm assuming you're the host since you're basically playing SP on the MP), there is the option to change the number of players at every startup. This also changes how many pets/NPC's, per player, your can have. And yes, it's ridiculously low imo, but I suppose the programmers thought that MP would only be used for "co-operative" play between two or more players. They obviously failed to grasp the concept of continued character advancement. *shrugs*

As for MP into SP: Ummm...not sure. I don't think there's a system set to go "backwards". Might be a mod/hack for it. I'd be leery of that as it may mess up your save files.

I honestly feel that the original DS was better designed for handling of NPC's/pets, but that's just me:laugh:
