HELP: Imhotep won't start the invocation for me !!!

When I give both the Eye of Chaos and the Hand of Balance to Imhotep, he just kept saying like:" Perfect. Now bring the other artifact, then we can begin the invocation ceremony." But I had both items in my inventory ! I have tried to quit the game and enter again; tried to restart the computer... But he just kept saying the same thing each time I visit him again with both items. And in all time, the marker on his head didn't turn to yellow ( as if he wants to talk with me), it has been shown the grey colour all the time.

I like and enjoy the game, but now I AM SERIOUSLY STUCK!

Any help will be very very much appreciated!

Hmm, odd glitch.

This is a longshot, but I've had something similar happen to me before. Here's my suggestion (no guarantee's though). Put both the eye of chaos and the hand of balance in your main inventory screen, NOT one of the bags. Keep them there. Use the waypoint teleporter to go to any random location and then back to memphis, then try talking to imhotep again.

In another quest where you need multiple quest items, I've had a glitch where if one of the items is in the bag, the quest is perma-screwed. I tried teleporting to move on with the game, and the next time I came back it worked just fine.

But I have tried it, still not working

I even went to get the "eye" again in the tomb, but since I have one in my main inventory, so I can't (of course) pick up the "eye" again. Actually, I think there might be something wrong with that too: how can you repeatedly complete the main quest over and over again ?!

Still stuck with the old man in Memphis

I had the same problem. What I did was I dropped both items on the ground in front of Imhotep. Then I picked then both up and I talked to Imhotep. He started the invocation for me.

I think it happens if you obtain the eye of chaos first. When i first obtain hand of balance and then eye of chaos, imhotep stands near the small pyramid when i come back to speak with him. But when i get the eye of chaos first, he does not move, and waits near his camel!

It shouldn't be, as I've played numerous characters going either route first/second.
