Dear god!
I'm doing normal mode still, in the original TQ, and I'm lvl 31 in the area beyond Chang'An at the Hermits Mage home. I keep dying everywhere as of late! All the mobs are around lvl 38, and the Tigers are mentally strong, especially those pack leaders, they dice me up in no time. Plus there are all these tiger hero's as well, they one hit me.
And that's not all, the draconian, the jungle creeps, the djinns, they can totally whoop my *** in no time at all.
Sure, I'm a Summoner (Earth/Nature) and my core dweller takes the heat at first, but his lvl 16 and gets pounded by all of them in no time at all.
Am I doing something wrong? Am I behind in lvl r something? I didnt skip any content so far! My death toll is now around 32, the final 15 of which happened since I started to encounter these massively powerful enemies.
What the?>!
What the?! I keep dying!

Sounds like your build made your character incredibly weak, either that or you have some weak equipment. Not sure, but it'd be a good idea to post your build using titancalc.

Listen up maggots, Mr. Popo's 'bout to teach you the pecking order.
It goes you, the dirt, the worms inside of the dirt, Popo's stool, Kami, then Popo.

This is my build after some remodelling (I removed the 10 points I had invested in the volcanic orb line).
It works alright, yet mostly because my pet takes the hits. Still, if he dies quick, I basically have to run for it. The wolves are somewhat pointless as well as they're pretty weak, perhaps I should reinvest those as well.
My gear is not exactly wonderful, running around with a really outdated mantle, still a runed one, though it's a green one and pretty buffed one at that. Just bought myself a new Archon staff of fire, which is alright though a little on the weak side for a green. The rest is pretty much ok.
And pardon for the implicit profanity, though personally I was thinking of the word heck behind is as opposed to the other 2 options![Stick Out Tongue :p](./images/smilies/)

Right, well I respecced my wolf 10 points and accidently invested 8 of those in earth to get to the highest tier (I wanted to test it, yet when I reloaded it seemed somehow the game must have autosaved)
Anyway, I then insanely buffed my core dweller, who turned out to be a match for some 4-5 elder cyclops with little difficulty except the occasional heal.
He even held out for pretty long against Typhon, as a result of which I only had to die once in order to finish him off. Whereas I basically just spam the buffed flame surge in his face.
Having said that, my core dweller isn't even fully buffed, there are still some 10 points to invest there, so I'm sure he can hold his own at later difficulty settings as well.
Having said that as well, my own char now completely sucks, if he gets any attention at all, he dies quick.
If only I could take away points from the general eart mastery, because this is getting tedious.

Just had a look at your build and one thing I have noticed there is that I think you may have spread your skills out across too many trees.
Basically what I am saying is that maybe just go all out core dweller tree + flame surge tree + recharge tree (nature).
Wolves have to be maxed to be of any use as does the core dweller. Putting a few points into wolves is a bit of a waste when they could go into maxing out your dweller or your final tier flamesurge skill.
Also since your character is "fragile" try not to attract too many monsters in one go. I found with my Storm/Spirit char that I basically was asking for it if I attracted an entire squad of tiger men in one go. So basically I had to plan a wee bit more.
Also I wouldn't worry about dying heaps some builds are definately harder than other builds early game.
All I can say from here is good luck and if you are still struggling let us know.

I've seen things you people wouldn't believe. Attack ships on fire off the shoulder of Orion. I watched C-beams glitter in the dark near the Tannhauser gate. All those moments will be lost in time, like tears in rain. Time to die.

My advice is to get rid of the whole flame surge line and the wolves and skill up to get a fully upgraded core dweller (you are missing metamorphoses badly IMO) but you can skip wildfire. Put one point in stone form and one in fire shield (to use on your core dweller) and whatever you have left, put it in eruption. Experiment with your regrowth to see how many points you need to heal your core dweller fully as more points is just overkill and will only drain your mana.....
