Enchanting problem

Post by sort-vampyr »

Hi everyone!

I'm trying to enchant my "Fell blade" ( blue text item ( what are they really called? )) with an "Essence of valor of Achilles" but i can't!

And i don't understand why!

"Fell blade" is a weapon, the essence says "can enchant all weapons", so whats the matter!

I CAN enchant other weapons with it... Just not my "Fell blade"

PLZZZZ help!

BTW can you put more than one essence/monster cham into an item ( If so, what are the retrictions?) and can you put essence+ monster cham in an item?
Did I just roll 1 on a save vs. death? DANG! *>.<

Items that are colored blue are Epic Items (You'll hear people call them blues but that makes no sense considering it's a piece of steel not a color), and in the game you can only enchant normal items, magic items, and rare items (White, Yellow, and Green respectively) with relics/charms. Unique Items cannot be enchanted at all.

As for what you can enchant. You cannot enchant multiple relics into an item unless they are the same relic. So you can't simply put Essence of Herakles' Might and Boar Hide together in one armor, you'll have to use 3 of the same relics or 5 of the same monster charms to further enchant an item.

Then what's the point of all those epic and legendary relics/charms safe for artifacts?

I'm assuming one is, eventually, fully clad in blues and later in legendaries. Right now I've just started Epic difficulty and already I have but 3 green items left on my character. When I started Epic I assumed only the epic relics/charms can enchant blues, but obviously that's not exactly the case.

So what's the point of all those relics and charms if you can't really use them? Or do you keep on using green items during the later stages of the game?

Kind regards,

Xan

It presents balanced options. It presents you with the whole theory, which weapon is better? The unique legendary blade or the semi-powerful blade with a good relic attached to it. If it was a Unique blade with a good relic attached to it, it might get overpowering.

Also once u get to legendary u will be starting to find some really good green swords especially in Hades (Kthonian razor) and if u can give them a legendary charm or relic then they can be way better than a legendary sword.
