Mimics

Post by Vai'Lutra »

Not really a serious thing but I was just wondering if everyone else was as horrified as I was first time they found a Mimic :)

Yes. Though, thankfully, I managed a strategic flanking maneuver (ie I ran like HELL!! ) fast enough to avoid death. Love them now for the nice drops

Just be thankful the people at GAS never read a D&D Monster Manual to know that a "real" mimic sticks to swords and shields and -people- so they can't get away. It's either kill it or die. :p

First time I found a Mimic I was terrified and only won because of staying on the opposite side of the big gold chest in the middle and only coming out when powers, health were on full.

Ok I ran like hell first time as well but came back later with 3 brutalstrikes muahaha.

PS:It killed my baby ice elemental :(

I stood and fought for 2 secs, realized that my fighter was gonna die in the next so ran like hell again . Healed, came back with Elemental Rage and Charged Shot triggered, ended it in 10 seconds with no one dead and great loots. Start to love them now, I even saved before fighting a mimics in order to get the best loot out of it.

Quite horrified. I either ended up leaving it behind or finally beat it after a long hit and run fight.

Yeah. Just from the shear difficult I stuck with fighting him. Went through a lot of health potions and mana potions. Nonetheless, pretty decent drop. Now, when I run through the game I just tend to avoid them if I know where they are!!

The best tactic against a mimic is having a death combat mage. Death spells go through walls, but mimic's don't -although it uses skull spray-.

im not entirely certain since it was a long time ago i played one, but iirc a ranger can take out a mimic in complete safety, because he outranges it. And the mimic ends up doing absolutely nothing while the ranger shoots at it. With the party in hold mode.

As soon as i encounted the beast i began to thirst for my own mimics, and to create doors and wall mimics, why not create ENTIRE EVIL CASTLE MIMICS, if it attracts people, IT CAN BE A KILLER MIMIC, UNDER MY CONTROL >_>
