IGN! If their forecast is anywhere near accurate as their reviews of Oblivion (total BS), take it with a very large dose of salt.

I simply can't see how LA/BioWare could possibly create a MMO and stick a KOTOR III label on it. Such a move would be completely dishonest, it would be a blatant case of false advertisement IMO. The first two in the series where storyline based RPGs, an MMO could never offer a true storyline, or well strung together quests, it would be just another mindless hack and slash, a clone of the god awful World of Warcraft.

Bioware is at its best when they make single-player RPGs. If it has been tried and true in the previous two installments, then I think that they should not make KOTOR III as a MMO.

I hope that they don't make it as such :( :( :( :(

As long as there is a rumour, there will be a chance that KOTOR III would be a MMO. Thats why the outcry of opinions here. To try and quash the rumours and obtain certain fact that K3 would be a singleplayer game.

MMO;s really suck, so i really hope it wont be one... Though i had a funny idea, it could be some sort of TMO(Tinily multiplayer online) :p .... So that about 3 players would play REAL story and not any stupid"Kill 12 sith assassins" quests....

SAN FRANCISCO, CA and EDMONTON, CANADA -- October 30, 2007 -- LucasArts and BioWare Corp. today announced that they have entered into an agreement to create an interactive entertainment product. I never said it would be released just after TFU but rather announced. As always in a video game company when a project is released as it will be done with TFU, another project takes its place. So as TFU is comming out, what would be the next big thing LucasArt will bring to us? There is also the fact that there is a huge demand for a next episode on the KOTOR saga. As no one is developing it, let's just hope Bioware is going to start the job right now.

My thoughts on there being a Kotor III

To be honest I have been holding out for Kotor III for quite awhile now. I am expecting alot out of Bioware or whoever decides to pick up the project. I don't want it to be another let down like the ending to Kotor II. I think many of you would agree if you played Kotor II that the ending was most disappointing. Also I am keeping my fingers crossed that they don't turn it into a MMO. I know alot of people might think I'm crazy for saying that, but I believe that would ruin the style that I've become so used to in Kotor I&II. I am looking forward to some new news about Kotor III in the near future.

I know many will agree with me on this one......we need some closure on Kotor III. With the way Kotor II ended, It shook my faith a little in Bioware's capability to finish a great game. Also for the love of all things good can we get some Jedi robes with hoods on them for once, I think that would just look totally badass!

Bioware didn't make KotOR II, Obsidian did, and they had to rush the game because Lucasarts rushed it out the door.

There's a restoration mod that will restore a lot of the cut content to the game that should be coming out soon, one can only hope it provides a little more closure to II while there's nothing to say there will ever be a III.
If nothing we do matters, then all that matters is what we do.

KOTOR3 turning into a MMO

I really dont think we have much to worry about,as far as KOTOR III turning out to be a MMO, I mean they have other Star Wars Games that deal with MMO type game play. They'll most likely keep K3 like the first and second installment of them game.
I mean they're not wanting to turn this into a World Of Warcraft, or Final Fantasy type game, especially not after making a name for themselves in the gaming industry with just these games alone.
All of this panic and worry could have been dropped ,if the people that freaked out to begin with would have just sat back and thought about it a little further than they did.

This(the whole kotor3 going mmo),just like everything else is still pretty much a rumor,The rumor has been going on SINCE 2005 that I know of,maybe even longer.
I mean, didnt this whole MMO rumor start by ["some guy who is related to a guy whos married to this girl whos uncle knos someone who works for one of the game developers"]?

I believe strongly that LUCAS ARTS will produce a 3rd installment for this title, they have a lot of pressure to release the game so when they start developing it they won't be as worried about making it MMO style.
If Lucas Arts didn't produce another installment of the game it would be very careless (money wise) and they would be running a risk of losing a lot of repsect from their "DIE HARD FANS".

Again,KOTOR III turning out to be a MMO based game is JUST a RUMOR so theres really no need for all of the worry everyone seems to be having. There are already games in the star wars genre that deals with the MMO type game play.So for everyone that's really holding their breath for it not to be MMO, rest a little easier.

This is all just how I feel about the situation,so don't bash me if you're not happy with the fact that I'm not as worried as you about this game going MMO

Lucas Arts has never had a financially successful MMO, and I don't think they would have one with KOTOR III. While the MMO world is fine for certain games, the KOTOR series has always been a great single player game and should be left that way. Hopefully the bean counters remind Mr. Lucas of this fact.

He's gonna fire the bean counters if they are to suggest that single player game will outperform an MMO based on Star Wars.

I haven't been on recently because there hasn't been anything new, but I have great news for all considered.

The first and best news is as follows (and I'll copy straight from the source)

We've been informed by a bloke down the pub, otherwise known as an anonymous source, that Lucas Arts are planning to unleash some tasty news about the next Star Wars title, at the 30th anniversary celebration event of the much loved set of movies.

The event is being held at the Los Angeles Convention centre at the end of May, where fans will be able to enjoy screenings of the movies, buy merchandise and meet some of their favourite stars. A similar event in 2005 attracted over 34,000 people, but this latest celebration is set to be the biggest Star Wars party ever.

Now, we're slightly sceptical about this, because the game in question is said to be the rumoured Knights Of The Old Republic 3, a game which recently Bioware (on their forums ) have said they are 'not currently working on'. Not only that, but why would Lucas Arts choose to release details about the game at a Star Wars party, where the majority of the attendees would surely only be interested in the Star Wars films and not a game that is based in the Star Wars Universe? Wouldn't they? However, if it is true, it would make sense - with the renewed interest of Star Wars in general around that period - to announce the title as official.

Surprisingly, our source also claims that Lucas Arts will not only be revealing details of the new game during this period, but will also be showcasing a new 1 minute trailer (now this we don't buy).

The Official Xbox Magazine has recently speculated that Knights of the Old Republic 3 will be released in 2008, but we've been told it may be ready this side of Christmas.

That's from HEXUS.gaming - Headline :: Lucas Arts set for Star Wars: KOTOR 3 announcement? : Page - 1/1

In even more rumors...

There's been rumors of a KOTOR MMO... here's the link for that...
New Star Wars MMO in the works? - www.mcvuk.com

Anyways, things are really looking up for new KOTOR material. Can't wait for '08. I will post more when I find out more.

I have not been on for a long time, becaus there is nothing new. Not a wise choice from Bioware and Steven Spillburg to release false rumors of kotor 3.

That makes people up:mischief:set

My friend once told me that KOTOR III would be called:

Star Wars Knights of the Old Republic III - The Sith Lords Chronicles (or something like that)

He said he found that out while looking through the internet. I'm not so sure weather this is the real name of the game. This IS about rumors, right?

Cheats in KOTOR III ?

As we all know almost all games have cheats in them.

The question now is weather you want cheats in KOTOR III or not. You may also want to explain your choice. And you may, if you want to have cheats, also say what they do.
  :p ;) :D :o :( :)
