Defensive ability has no chance of reducing damage at all to begin with. It increases your chance to dodge attacks and critical hits, which are all based off your enemy's Offensive Ability.

So, if you had 2000 Defensive ability, you may have a 99.9% chance to dodge all attacks against say the level 1 satyr's and boars in the beginning of the game, but later on, the enemy offensive ability increases just the same as your defensive ability increases.

The same rule applies vice versa to your offense versus their defense.

with 2000 defensive ability you can stand surrounded by mantis warriors (those ones who deliver crits) and they won't even hit you...Maybe after making and drinking a cup of coffee you will have 1/2 life...

I can't quantify this discussion but high defensive ability is very valuable

Edit: note my description is coupled with high armor at each location
Right Speech has four aspects: 1. Not lying, but speaking the truth, 2. Avoiding rude and coarse words, but using gentle speech beneficial to the listener, 3. Not slandering, but promoting friendliness and unity, 4. Avoiding frivolous speech, but saying only what is appropriate and beneficial.
