I finished the game on Veteran and had completed the morden towers quest and I found whenever i tried to enter Mercenary I would be taken to the pod you begin the game in,accompanied by a lvl66 Drevin on low health where i could then run through the morden trenches to the temple of the coast,with rustguards that had a lvl but couldnt be attacked,and a glowing aegis with a label just like the other pieces if i tried to Town portal I would be taken back to the pod.

Has anyone else been locked in this otherworldly level?

yes that happened to me as well.... don't know what to do about it though
