How do I get mana steal as combat mage?

Post by Vai'Lutra »

I noticed that a good percentage of mana steal is better than a great number of max mana,so I was wondering, how do I get it as a combat mage? I've been having little luck.

Maybe you can buy armor/other equipment that gives a % of damage added to mana. You can also enchant items with reagents that give that bonus.

You can get mana steal ability by enchaniting an item with a ... talon.
3% mana steal with eagle tallon.
4% mana steal with raven tallon.
6% mana steal with owl tallon.

You then just need an enchantable mage weapon (if you are a mage), money and a bit of luck finding those items.
How should a world without games look like?
I think it would really be lame.

It might be worth mentioning I have a level 86 party, and said mage is Finala, newly recruited and now level 74.

My current mage weapon is the unique cestus "Apocalypse" which the character is built around,so the enchantable mage weapon idea might not work... :o

Talons only seem to work on weapons,so the mana steal would probly have to come from other pieces of equipment...or...

Would a mature necrolithid work?

Yes I suppose a mture necrolithid would work, but you could have a long time making it a mature, though if you have a lvl 86 party you might now the right stuff :D

good luck

Wow I love sites like this where you can research everything.
I could try and track down items with the suffixes:

---------------
Candlelight <<<at worst
Moonlight
--------------
Daylight <<<maybe
Starlight
-------------
Phantom <<<target
Ghost
-------------
Specter <<<Hopefully
