Titan quest stopped working

Post by le neuf »

Hello everyone,

I am new here so please don't be too judgemental. I have searched the forum but can't find the problem.

Every 15 minutes or so, the game stops and I get a message saying titan quest has stopped working. Even though this does usually happen when exploring new areas, I can't imagine the problem to lay with my hardware. There is no lag anywhere in the game. My laptop has a T8100 processor and 3gb of memory. The graphics chip is a GeForce 8600M. My computer has a windows experience index base score of 5.0. Updating the game did not solve the problem. I really hope you can offer some help. Thanks

Did you check the cd-drive or the cd itself. Try putting in another cd in the same drive and try putting the disk into a differnet computer. We had a problem like this at work were the cd-drive wouldn't read the cd, so we had to replace the drive.

There are quite some scratches on the cd, but it still works fine on a different computer. The cd-drive is in order as well. Thanks for the reaction though. Perhaps any other ideas?

It seems to be caused by having anti-aliasing OFF. When I turn this option on, nothing goes wrong. Anyone know why?

@Le Neuf, please be sure to use the edit function rather than double post in the future. Thank you.
