Bioware could work on kotor 3.

If Bioware is having trouble making kotor 3, I suggest making kotor the Mandalorian Wars.

just wishes

the mmo would be an awsome game and would have the potential to exceed WoW i mean look at the star wars fan base Huge!! the most likely time would be before or after the events of the movies and prolly before since there is a huge gape in history from kotor to a new hope and ther were jedi running around everywhere unlike after where jedi were all to close to gone but just rambling . kotor 3 should be a story based game and then have add on to become a mmo and you use ur character in the mmo and maybe create a side kick to follow u around like in the games and ur side kick is interactive having a story line u learn of through out ur growth on the mmo and even make options like flirt and what not,,,,but def make the kotor3 a story based game and mmo a spring off from that i mean they left kotor 2 wide open with all the talk of reaaven and bastilas small part hk-47 just they need to tie it all up .. o i would love a side not ds not ls but ur own in the middle u are a person who uses the force to help ursef but not causing harm to everyone

MMO is the new trend in gaming industry, but I hope they won't sacrifice a good storyline for $$$. For a MMO they can easily create another story (and that's very easy to do for a MMO). Time will tell when and what will be KOTOR 3, cause I have no doubt there will be a third game.
Who I am is not important - my message is.

do you even really need a story for an mmo, though? i mean, i only played WoW for mmo's, but really, the "story" is only seen if you do any of the quests and maybe listen to some of the bosses talking. if you were to choose just to kill enemies for leveling up, there's nothing to it except a war between a lone whatever-race-you-wish-to-be and millions of whatever the hell you want to kill. no story.

so realistically, i think that as long as you stick a couple blasters, a lightsaber or 2, and some powers into an online game and call it Star Wars, you've got your mmo right there. mind you, from what i've heard, that may well have been why SWG appears to have sucked. like i said before, i've only played WoW, so i can't really judge SWG for myself.

Now, I dont want to act like I know what I am talking about, but wouldn't it be cool if they made the game an rpg (like the majority of people are wanting) and than for the online part, have a dueling ring where you can use your character from the rpg game and do battle with either computer players or our fellow human players' character.

i think the only online feature should be co-op like they did with fable 2.
Add l Skinflute l (Lower case L's) if you think you can beat me 1v1 snipers in Halo 2.

But then the RPG feeling would kinda go away, wouldn't it?

If it has to be something in that genre, I would like this option.

In what way? Think of it like the first kotor along with the characteristics I have mentioned

And what characteristics would that be? A dueling ring isn't really a place to go talking to one another, now is it? What's fun about a dueling ring any way, unless you can fight yourself? In the dueling ring it would all be about who is the best, who had the most powergame character? Man, people who play the game for that multiplayer aspect would just make a character with maximum strength, dex and constitution, and the minimum int, cha, and wis. Half of the skills won't be used in the ring, so why not?

i wanna stop you there because personally that sounds like the most horrible thing you could do with a game and its sickening to think that something so well rounded of a storyline could delute peoples lives like that .... not kotor, no never no multiplayer EVER, unless its set in a different era of kotor but not the main storyline

The difficulty here is the turn based combat. In games such as the Jedi Knight franchise, you could play deathmatch etc. because essentially it was down to how well you played, rather than what skills/levels you had. I know that's going a LONG way back (late 90's I think), but I've never really understood multiplayer apart from that, other than a more social thing (solving quests together etc.).

An alternative for the duelling ring would be a "make all players equal" option, but that would defeat the point of the multiplayer for many, I suppose.

now cat. I understand what your saying. Some people might use cheats just to get an upper hand in a fight. But I think that it still might work. There are some people who do not believe in doing that and others who simply dont know how to. What I want to know is whats your idea for this situation.

And by the way. I think the announcement for the game is at 5 edt so get ready.

i think it's a complete joke now, to say the least. i mean, seriously... 300 years after K2 ended, and they can't even really finish that **** off? at least finish it up and leave the "300 years after" BS to inevitable expansions, somehow.

worst idea in the entire history of bad ideas, tbh

Joker200: With my 'Did you people actually read my post?' I ment to say that the comments of 'bigredpanda' and 'Invisable Man' are not in the least related to my comment, but yet they refer to it. I just thought you idea for a dueling ring wouldn't work.

As for Kotor 3, I hate it already. WHY did they have to make it 300 years after KOTOR 2? On the other hand, there could still be a KOTOR 3, since the game's name is STAR wars: the old republic, not KOTOR.
