Version assistance, please...

Post by VanV »

I'm trying to determine if I am running the latest and greatest (with the most bug fixes and enhancements) for my Immortal Throne installation. Opening shot shows v1.1, for which I find little trace. Registry shows version 1.3 for the base Titan Quest, but no version under Immortal Throne in the relatively same location. Files also show no version that makes much sense, but show a 1/27/07 date...

Can anybody help me determine which, if any, patches I may be a candidate for, and where to find them?

Ah, well 1.1 is the official latest version. 1.1.5 is the Fanpatch which improves and fixes SO much, and I'd recommend you download it. TQVault and Titanquest.net both have them.

The latest fanpatch is 1.1.6, but stick with 1.1.5 for now as the installer for 1.1.6 is bugged on its own.

I have the same version , the basic one from the gold deluxe package.
So as i understand it, if i install the 1.1.5, i will only be able to play with people with the same patch... is it really worth it or?

Second, will my characters still work and what is the exact site for the update?

I think its worth it. The bugs (some of them) are pretty serious. But the problem is the online play so don't install it if you like multiplayer and are not playing with people you know who can install the fanpatch.

What sold me was I heard that triumph and ravages of time do not work at all, which the patch fixes.
Right Speech has four aspects: 1. Not lying, but speaking the truth, 2. Avoiding rude and coarse words, but using gentle speech beneficial to the listener, 3. Not slandering, but promoting friendliness and unity, 4. Avoiding frivolous speech, but saying only what is appropriate and beneficial.
