What would you like to see in a main character. No poll just suggestions and opinions. Would you like a character that was like your character in KOTOR, like being a evil sith lord but having the choice to turn it around or follow that path again. My suggestion is: You should be a powerfull Jedi who is well known but then everybody thinks your dead, then you wake up.

this seems more like an RPG thing than MMO. having a few million people as "the same" Jedi/Sith would be pointless.
but anyways, my idea is that you start as a kid, actually AREN'T a Jedi/Sith, and are trained in their ways. it can kinda be like Fallout 3, where there's all the tutorial crap as you grow older, then when your training is done, you can start playing the main portion of the game.
in your training, you decide whether to be a Consular, Guardian, or Sentinel, maybe choose robe colour. also, the training could include which style of saber combat you're best with (forms, as well as single blade, dual blades, or double-edged saber, maybe even like The Apprentice in TFU), same with Force Powers (offensive, defensive, group/team support, etc). naturally you can use other powers and saber styles, but you're best with the chosen style.

Here's another idea
I think that your a mandalorian from the war. Then some Jedi comes to your camp and teaches you the way of the force through out the game. Oh and I wanted it to be a RPG question, as I hate MMO's and just want to hear RPG suggestions.

If I find the time to play SW:TOR, my main will be a female human Jedi Guardian tank, and my main Alt will be a male human Jedi Sage healer. But I doubt I will have more characters than that.
None of the other class designs I've seen have much appeal to me. I hate playing rogue-types, I dont like playing ranged classes, and I dont like dualwielding guys in heavy armor either. Oh, and the idea of saberstaffs is stupid. So yeah, that pretty much rules out everything else than the above choices.
Neither do the races impress me. Twi'lek is OK, so maybe I will actually make one of my characters Twi'lek. The rest can be summarized as "meh, thanks, I'm good" stuff. I dont want to play Darth Maul, I dont want a green guy without eyes, and the others are just humans with different skin and hair and eye colors.
